The Irish like to think of themselves as the custodians of fair play etc. Such hypocrites!
Like Australian cricket fans eh
Australian cricket fans are generally OK once their team gets past the quarter-finals
-
I think like any fans, there are dickheads everywhere, some just shout louder.

It's the line! Custodians of the sacred line!

I’m not prepared to read Sexton’s book because I don’t really take to the guy and also it is likely to be a complete whinge-fest. However, unlikely to surpass the amount of whinging on this thread..

Fans whinging about other fans. It's like a toned down version of soccer.
in fairness, I'm whinging about the Irish Rugby players and the Aussie Cricketers. The fans are asecondary dicks. But it's firing at apretty big target isn't it

I wouldn’t pay to read it but I’d definitely have a flick through if it was at a bookstore or on someone coffee table.

Any more than 99 cents and I’d be saying no

As expected the Irish (at least the Leinster fans) are up in arms. The Irish like to think of themselves as the custodians of fair play etc. Such hypocrites!
Irish fans are all dickheads too
Balls. Your true Irish fan is as good as their beer, far better than their fire water & novelists but not quite up to their actors, playwrights and poets.
Did some of these long suffering fans lose the run of themselves? To be sure, to be sure. But thank fuck they did. Made finding semi and finals tickets all the easier.

Huh go figure, I hadn't noticed a heck of a lot of whinging. Just delicious slaying.
Look at the scoreboard. Only losers whinge 😁. Very small sample size, but the Irish and English fans I've met were pretty nice. To be fair, this all started because Johnny is a whinger

And to think the Brits onced led the world in whinging. Oh how the snarky, self-deserving, sanctimonious and embittered have fallen. You happy bouncy isles-dwellers!
I will light a very small violin in memory as a sign of simple decent respect.
By the way, nice counter whinge...

Journalist: hi Johnny, are you sure you were born after 1949 in the Republic of Ireland?
Sexton: Yes, why the effin Peyper do you ask?
Journalist: Because your family told me you were born in ire. -

Would that be along the lines of “not smarter, just better informed”?
