Secondly, we are picking Jordie for.no other reason than he is a big dumb lump to truck it up. When he does literally anything else he fucks it up. Explosive and dynamic? Give me strength.
I love Reiko Ioane, but didn't he fail to score a single try this super season despite playing against shit Australian teams and playing for the best team in the comp?

Cane looked understandably short of a gallop at Eden Park. Hopefully that run was good for him and he can look up to the pace.
A real litmus test test for some of these players - especially the ones with limited to no exposure to playing the Boks (or even South African Super teams) at the high veldt
Williams, Vaai, Clarke, Aumua, Darry, Finau etc.
Let's see what they are made of

I think Jordie went from being an average fullback to a poor wing to a handy 2nd five, certainly playing after David Havilli helped…..but those who laud him as this Jonah like Mastadon are just talking absolute bullshit.
Good player, players in other teams are better though.

oh come on, where's your memory, Jordie made his debut for the Hurricanes in 2017 aged 19 - and he and his brother spent that season terrorizing Saffa and Australian sides, I shudder to think what 26 year old Jordie would inflict at SR level on Stormers/Bulls/Sharks/Lions today.

Fuck yeah! I hope our losing ABs remind them of that during every stoppage in the test match on Saturday. That'll teach the Boks, those RWC trophies will be great for catching their tears over being subpar in SR.

I think the Leinster move will be good for him.
Might sharpen up his act with regard to the fundamentals. Less profligate with the pill.

DdE is the player Jordie fluffers think Jordie is. I would take him in a heartbeat.
Kreil is hugely underrated here, he is strong on the carry and free his outsides. If he was a kiwi people would cream over him.Plus throw in Esterhuizen and Am and it’s fair to say their midfield is a bit more stacked than ours.
Am was the best player in the world in my opinion just before he got injured.
Superb decision making. Really really clever player.

What I read into it is that when reffed by a very fine referee over the period in question the ABs lost lot more than when reffed by referees who on average were worse than Barnes.
I’d like to see more data but it suggests that the ABs perform worse under better quality reffing.
Given his stature, Barnes also likely got given bigger games so it might also say something about the ABs under pressure, but we’d need to look a lot harder at the games he reffed to see.
