All Blacks will get Caleb Clarke at the end of crossfield kicks to exploit SA's wingers..

Kolbe and KLA are smaller than Finlay Christie.

As long as those cross field kicks aren't in our own half...

has Cane played much with EB? I can't recall. The trio may actually work well together. Well, here's hoping.

As long as SC and EB stay low in the tackle.....

Has ANYONE played much with EB is the more pertinent question.

Saffa backline is massively overrated on here, it's because they won the WC playing a methodical gameplan where everyone is the sum of their parts, and does only exactly what's required for them, the only ones who i'd pick in our 23 is either of Kriel and Dellende over ALB on the bench and Feinberg over Dmac at a stretch.

South Africa have better props and better bench locks & loosies but that's it.

I really hope the second half structure doesn't turn to custard.
What with Saffa time wasting tactics of drink and injury breaks; along with a recent AB trend of subs and second half lack of structure this game could end up another dour spectacle.

What games other than Argie 2 where the game was already over had an issue with subs?

    Take it easy Fitzy.

De Allende would piss in ahead of Jordie. Class player. Kriel would probably force Reiko to the wing too.

First five is a coin toss.

I bundled Cane and Read into a taxi on Harcourt Street in Dublin after the 2013 miracle win. They had fallen out of copper faced jacks. If you know you know. Sawdust on the floor and if you bring a bird with you to the door the bouncers charge you a corkage fee. 😂

The two of them were fucking bladdered and had no idea where they were.

Told the cabbie to bring them to the Conrad Hotel. They were only a two minute walk away but were in no state to get there unscathed .

Cane was in an absolute heap.

    Good times.

    Photos or it never happened

Swear to god. Read was wearing a dreadful shirt sleeved Hawaiian style shirt and chinos. He looked like someone’s drunk uncle..

Cantabs can’t dress for shit. Your story checks out

Didn’t know papakura was in Canterbury. Learn something every day. Cheers MN5

Once that Crusaders culture gets imbedded it’s like a cult. Any decent clothes get confiscated and out come the moleskins and swandris.

The whole South African team apart from Prop, Hooker, Lock, loose forwards, halfback, first five, midfield, wing and fullback is MASSIVELY overrated.

Watch the RWC final again, their backs are limited and posed little threat to us despite 15 vs 14.

these players also versed our guys in Super Rugby and mostly got walked over.

France and Ireland certainly have better backlines than SA. England's is about par with them.

my theory is folks on here and our media give them too much respect because they're our traditional rivals and we have a unique relationship off the field.

    You're talking shit Daryl

I'll watch that final again (no I won't) and watch jordie stink the joint out.
DdE is the player Jordie fluffers think Jordie is. I would take him in a heartbeat.
Kreil is hugely underrated here, he is strong on the carry and free his outsides. If he was a kiwi people would cream over him.

If Tony Brown gets them playing more expansive that will be a problem for us

Plus throw in Esterhuizen and Am and it’s fair to say their midfield is a bit more stacked than ours.

If Saffa backs like DdE and Kriel still came up against our guys in Super Rugby we'd see their attacking limitations a lot more compared to our guys, when not playing in Rassie's slick cohesive setup and sum of their parts approach, just playing for the regular old Bulls and Stormers against Blues/Hurricanes, they'd be AJ Lam/Tupaea/Poihipi level.

NZ's point of difference has always been our explosive dynamic backs. Only France come anywhere close of the current int. player pools.

of those SA guys only Kolbe had a decent impact in SR, and that was during his prime, now he's over the hill and would get run around/over by most NZ wingers.

by the way this isn't just conjecture - these SA guys played in Super as recent as 5 years ago and were very rarely up there with ours in attacking stats and other metrics.
