I'll say this for Razor; he could teach some politicians a thing or two about noncommittal answers. 10 mins and we learnt nothing.
And as expected; 'an opportunity for redemption'.

it makes me feel like im missing something obvious...what im looking for in players seems very very different to what paid professionals are looking for or they see things i dont...doesnt help my connection with the team
It can only be experience. Theres definitely nothing else
If Ratima et al cant get in now, after a loss, against Argentina at home, you would draw the inference that they wouldnt be thrown in against the Boks in their back garden.
So the likes of TJP and Beaudy are here to stay for the foreseeable?
I would have thought Robertson would be looking at longer-term changes at 9 & 15 by now. Maybe last week's loss means he doesn't feel confident to do that yet.

Sharing together
do those guys look like they share?
Good point, I was hopeful of a coming together.

If ever there is something of Foster's not to replicate it's that. Playing shit doesn't mean you stick to your 'A' team, it means the 'A' team needs to change.

Not sure if the Argie team has been posted:
"The starting backline for Los Pumas remains unchanged, however winger Bautista Delguy comes onto the bench in a 5-3 split after last week’s 6-2"

This has the interview with Robertson posted earlier but also interviews with Cane, Williams & Ioane
At least Rieko comes across as being pissed off. Good. Hopefully it translates into a big performance.

I can’t wait to see what impact an ageing Sam Cane brings to the table
he's coming on from the bench so they can leverage his explosive speed (
and minimize red cards) -
I'm surprised Lord is still there, didn't really notice him last game.

I hope he can run aggressively, and maybe get Jordie to do the same

Yes and my bad: I should have been clearer, I did see quite a bit of him on the field per se but not much impact.

The management of Finau and Sititi has been absolutely awful to date. What the hell were they thinking putting Sititi on at 6 in a test we were battling in. He's a rookie and doesn't normally play there. That's one of the dumbest substitutions I can think of in AB history, and just to top it off they drop him after he completely unsurprisingly didn't go very well just to fuck with his confidence.
I don’t think it’s that unusual for loose forwards to start their test career either as a starter or as a sub to play a position that they weren’t playing that season at super rugby - Sam Cane started his AB career coming on to replace the number 8 or blindside. He wasn’t replacing McCaw but yet coaches kept selecting him as a bench replacement to play out of position - until his time came.
Read even started as a 6 despite being more a number 8. Messam too played at number 8 early on despite being more a blindside.

Who would you select to replace him?

I was going to ask a Cantab this. Didn't Read actually play as a 6 in his first Crusader season then got moved into 8 with an eye for the ABs, or is my memory faulty?

Give Walker-Leawere a shot. Why not?
