We have one. But Cam is running on one leg right now

    TTT?

Nah, his passing is nowhere near as good as it was when he made the ABs.

It was noticeable how slow TJP's passing was. Christie has a better pass but takes so long to actually pass the ball. If you are trying to beat the rush defence it starts with the service from the halfback.

    Noah Hotham?

I suspect he may be close to getting picked. Not saying I would select him, but when he started looking like he belonged in Super Rugby this year he showed a handy running game, a crisp pass and the ability to clear under pressure.

He could be the backline selection version of Bell.

arguably less controversial - the pass is clearly there and the other options aren't doing particularly well. Bell wound up on the bench at times, and has some real issues in the core role (throwing).

Dont' worry though, the renowned thrower Corey Flynn will fix him 😛

Bell's throwing is a weird one. Up to this season I don't remember it being a problem.

Agree with the comments keeping the same team barring injuries, this is the chance for the new coaching setup to prove their worth and we see the team improve with another week together.

Yeah, I was thinking NPC and in particular, when he played for the NZ Under 20's or whatever they were a couple of years ago.

If our gameplan is to hurl the ball to DMac behind a retreating forward pack then perhaps then maybe pairing him with the halfback that's been doing that for the entire year with the Chiefs might be a good idea.

He looked much better this year than last year. He has an actual strong sniping running game. We need to transition to these young 9s sooner rather than later in my view. Bring it on.

It's a cunning plan to have the Waikato region providing all of the AB halfbacks. 😉

Fakatava mustn't be what they want for their halfbacks.

If the AB captain wasn't manhandled at a ruck we wouldn't be having this discussion.

yeah Probably the next best runner from the base behind Roigard, looking for something different than what they have I would guess.

in fairness, if TJP hadn't pissed around at the ruck and just lceared the ball he wouldn't have been there for ScoBa to fall on!

@george33 What do you mean achieved?

Assuming Aaron Smith is floating somewhere around the countrywe're picking the sixth best halfback in the country.
