    Pretty sure South Africa started naming a lot earlier.

    Maybe wrong, but so do some of the 6N teams.

    @Chris i understand in house things will be named....this just seems early to offically name it

    Yeah I am not sure why England released it early it does seem a bit early to put it out there.

    It's become something of a thing in NH. Gatland seemed to start it. Boks sometimes do. England jumped on bandwagon this year.

    @antipodean Fin Baxter is a very handy LH. Coles has often struggled with short and capable LHs.

    but does his hairstyle look good on both sides of the ball?

    Pointless Itoje being a vice captain at this point. He’s obviously not the leadership type otherwise he’d have been Captain long ago. Nothing wrong with that.

    He's becoming a different player under Borthwick. Much more mature.

    Really looking forward to watching this young gun Cunningham-South play at 6 for England.

    Huge connection to NZ having played for Silverdale club, went to both Hamilton Boy's and Westlake Boy's.

    Cunningham-South, who grew up in New Zealand, is a versatile forward who is comfortable in the second row, blindside flanker or number 8.

    He joined the London Irish Academy in February 2022.

    Chandler has played for North Harbour under-18s and trained with NZ Warriors in Rugby League.

    Chandler also had outings for Canterbury RFC under-19s and Lincoln University in Christchurch before heading over to the United Kingdom.

    @Nevorian They don't have any vice-captains on the bench, so could lose their pattern in the second half.

    @Chris That's a really good team.

    forward pack is strong, the backline is really average.

    best backline with the most potential we've put out for years IMO. Doesn't mean they're great yet but at least its clear what we're trying to do and there's some balance and pace

    Wonder if all three locks are fit? Other than that, biggest question for me is which 6.5 is on bench, and who goes to 11 if Caleb crocked.
    Ofa and Newell would be my bench props.

    @Dodge

    Agreed. I'm as happy as I can be with that selection, including the bench. Front row is a concern but probably the best we can put out at the moment. Save perhaps Dan for George but then we would miss his leadership, so fair enough.

    As good as it can be but will it be good enough? Difficult to say with NZ being something of an unknown quantity atm but I can't bring myself to see anything other than a 2-0 loss. I'll be happy though and count the tour a success if we put in two good performances and show some attacking intent and shape.
