    Well, no cards was a big positive.

    A lot of that was down to the Ref. One of the reasons people rate him.

    Just watched this and have not read thread. Thank heaven for Sevu Reece, Telea and DMac, best 3 players on the park! But the tactics were not what I expected. Not enough pick n go down the middle in my view. And lots of half breaks but little continuity.
    Pat T was a shadow of his usual self tonight. Thankfully Vaai was a dynamo when he came on. Both hookers were lively. But we could have done with Williams or Tosi rumbling it up.
    Still not sure that Rieko is in good form at centre and would be happy to see Procter get a go.
    And I was puzzled by a few of the refs decisions. But we probably got the rub of the green. Thought Paps would be the one penalised in that last play but no.
    Great effort from England. Their loosies were great.

    LOL, Chiefs fans are still super bitter about the final.

    Papalii: actually tackles and hits rucks, unlike the other two passengers - drop him now!

    Rieko Ioane: carrys well from shit ball and shit passes - not a centre

    And now bagging Tuipulotu too ...

    McKenzie was terrible.

    Finau has been in terrible form for weeks now. After two duds against Blues why would you select him? Back to the NPC.

    Finau has been promoted too early. Everyone waits for the "smashed 'em bro" moment, forgetting his workrate isn't great. I'd pick Blackadder ahead of him.

    Perofeta deserves another start. Looked silky out there.

    Our scrum was excellent.

    Telea gets involved, but lacks top end pace and power. I'd replace him with Clarke.

    DMac has to be persisted with, but God damn he did some wayward pointless kicks.
    It was Beauden Barrettesque.

    Vaii got involved well, but I still noticed him fold in contact a couple of times. He ran at gaps.

    Our loose forwards were outplayed and we were lucky to win.
    (and we still can't cope with the rush defense)

    @canefan

    Tbh, I’m not sure playing that way against Aussie and kiwi super sides means that we will be able to do it against an English pack

    Unfortunately the English forward pack isn't made up of only shit Australian first fives.

    The best bit about this game was Flatman's ridiculous cheerleading being shoved down his throat.

    Haven't seen all the match yet but some of those long Barrett kicks I saw were literally match savers.
    Jordie is indispensible now.

    The great thing about Jordie tonight was his error rate was basically nil. Usual brilliant stuff but also no errors

    This has always been my issue with him. JC and Kano regularly buried forwards even bigger than they were. Finau has ( from what I’ve seen ) made a dubious reputation of smashing first fives in vulnerable passing positions.

    Was he executing the game-plan well or badly?

    @MN5

    clears throat, takes deep breath

    Blackadder may not be much of a lineout option, but he'd be a better pick at six.

    Might have to move Barrett or Vaai there.
