Problem with Kirfi and Laki just to small for test rugby , great at super level
Lakai looks really solid for a 7 to me
Quick google search shows he is heavier but shorter than Papalii, who most would consider a pretty good size loose forward. -
So is Peter Lakai the 2020s version of Jordan Taufua?

Naa mate he just the 2020s versoin of Peter Lakai, probably what he wants to be. But I will repeat anyone who thinks Lakai (or Kirifi) are too small for test rugby are a bit off the mark. Both at least as big as the likes of Kwagga Smith, and Micheal Hooper etc.

@george33 Lakai is 110kg, he’s put on 5kg in the last year and is likely to get bigger as he gets older. He's still only 21.
Listed weights and heights are often bullshit. I call it “the Daniel Braid” effect.
Next time you
stalkcasually run into Brad Shields at the shops can you ask him for an accurate run down on everyone’s stats ? -

@MN5 it was very much small talk at the meat section of the Four Square haha. Good to hear he's available for selection.
Listed weights are rarely updated. Usually when a player starts at a club they put their weight down and never update it again. The All Rugby site is probably the most accurate as they tend to update this on a regular. I'd say those stats are pretty spot on.

Good to hear he’s keeping the protein levels high !

@Canes4life Anton Segner 22, 1.92m and 109 kg ,
-
@Canes4life not sure of that , these 2 could fight it out in the future but Segner is massive chance this year , Lakai don't think so , just my opinion
-
@george33 Segner has been good but so has Lakai. Lakai's still firmly developing as a player but his ability to jump between 7 and 8 almost seamlessly against very strong opposition is something that will boost his international chances later in his career. Too early for him yet even though I think he's made for test rugby. I see him more as an 8 than a 7 though. Segner has been good but he won't have the size to be an International 6, would like to see him in the mix for that 7 role but I think someone like Harmon might get a shot before him.

@Canes4life but where was Chris
