All Blacks 2024

Apart from dead set certainties, Lomax 3, Barrett 4, Ardie somewhere, would've been Roigard 9, Barrett 12, Ioane 13, either/both Reece/telea I'm really not sure. This is the biggest change in coaching group since Ted & Co set up the empire which crumbled under its own weight (obligatory foster is fat joke). It's quite exciting to have no idea what the starting 15/23 is, even if you could pick most of the extended squad.

I love that every comment about Blackadder is "what a great guy" etc, not has he ever played at any significant level for more than one game?
He was shit at test level.
NO THANKS.
Todd or Ethan ?
Probably applies equally to be fair

There's a lot of competition for wing but Naholo must be giving the selectors food for thought.
He looks pretty good.
However, I think Sevu Reece, Mark Telea, Caleb Clarke and possibly Emoni Narawa are probably ahead of him because they are playing well and are more experienced. -

Robertson should largely forget about experience. Just try to select players so he has quality players with the right balance
Reece, Telea and Narewa are one type of wing.
Clarke is a power wing who started off with a great game but hasn't done much since. Naholo is another power wing.
I prefer one of each (an often smaller skillful winger and bulkier power winger) . Naholo might offer more than Clarke.

Didn't really see the crusaders game, but before this weekend I'd have Bower and Numia fighting it out for form loose head.
Bower had a pretty good game again solid in the scrum put in some hard yards around the field once again, Numia was also strong again.

South Island brain in full effect.
The drunken rants can occasionally be fun but is there a reason why someone who deletes posts because he's bored of other people's conversations is allowed to carry on and say dickhead shit like this?

Roigard was a big loss
9 is arguably the most open position. Ironically, Roigard's injury has opened up opportunities and the competition for the slot and the likes of Fakatava, TJP and Ratima seem to have upped their game.
They were already playing well before he got injured.

Things are looking good. The only downer is Silverlake. Thanks for the legacy NZR. Amateurs.

Like a couple of other positions, there are options but with little test experience, we can’t be sure of how they will perform at test level.
Of course if Ryan can get the forward pack humming (and no reason why he won’t) then it will make the outside backs look like a million bucks!

Richard Knowler runs his eye over who’s in contention for the ABs at the link below.

Has a good base to work from and knows those players well. A few gaps at 4 & 5 and poss. some issues at 2 but you'd expect the forwards will continue their upward trajectory. Just hope he's not too conservative

With the quality of the forward pack, hopefully the lack of experience at lock can be hidden this year for the most part.
