All Blacks 2024

@frugby I think Proctor and Love are really good chances of making it. I think one of Iose, Lakai or Kirifi will get in, Iose most likely on form. Walker-Leawere has the size for test rugby but needs to show he can consistently play top level rugby, he was really good last week but I don’t think he’ll get picked unless he dominates for the rest of the year. I think our most underrated player is Caleb Delany, he’s been exceptional for the Canes and hopefully he’s in the conversation because he’s been bloody good for a long time now, so much better than James Blackwell. Good to have a number of players in the convo as a Canes fan.

@Canes4life any thoughts on non-Canes?

i think Roigard's "issues" at the world cup have been really overblown
His positives far outweighed any negatives. Good head on him too.

@KiwiMurph I did a post a couple weeks ago on players who I thought were in the running on form. I like the look at what Sotutu has done so far this year, I think Stevenson for the Chiefs has continued his hot form from last year but I think he goes missing a bit when DMac isn’t there. Definitely a class finisher though.
Reece is another that should get a recall, he’s been one of the best going around both offensively and defensively.
I like the look of Hannah from the Saders and Beehre from the Blues but I think they might be a tad too young yet for the next level. Same with Fabian Holland who isn’t eligible yet anyway.
I like what Harmon has done for the Landers over the last few years but I think he’ll be in competition for that one spot with quite a number of form loosies across NZ so it’s hard to say. Got plenty of depth in that area atm.
Someone posted an All Blacks XV on form (below) I like what I see. 😉

Arguably a big difference between us winning the final and losing it

Reminds me of a meme that @Bones commented on.

@Canes4life oh yeah, "someone" eh. I think from that selection we know who....

@Bones Numia is in great touch but I think you’re right, might have to take a few injuries for him to get chance. I just hope he gets in so we can finally say we have a test match front row. Not sure if the Canes ever have tbh.
Depends how they view Ofa...

@Bones didn't say he was the worst by any means at all , my opinion he ain't the best either and I did say he will get there eventually, but he's missing 2 big ingredients to be in AB starting 23 at the moment, that's what I've heard, not winding U up at all ,and obviously gone for 8 months or more apparently, won't matter until next season,
Possibly due to the Chiefs environment not working for him

Lakai must be in contention for a starting 7 spot.
But another not even t inconsideration who has impressed is Tosi. He's been superb when replacing Lomax
Anoth r who has further improved this year is IWL. In great form so far

Regarding the Canes forwards
My view is I'Il be surprised if Lakai misses out. (He's easily good enough to start at 7). Kirifi and Iosi - surprised if they make it. Even though both have been in great form.
Lomax's a certainty. Aumua should be too (but the Crusaders factor). IWL is playing like an AB and IMO is easily our best lock. Tosi is also putting his hand up. As is Numia. But would put them in a surprise if they make it but are both good enough.
Delany could be considered as a 6 lock option.

@Tim Sam W's done the ABs a massive favour by shutting down the speculation of a possible return. It was clumsy by Razor and co. to set the hares racing on that.
I was wondering how someone could twist it to justify the handwringing. Brilliant! -

Hence why there's concerns MacDonald would still pick Christie.
He could well be in the mix for 2024 now Roigard's injured- though I'd prefer TJP. 3rd string/emergency cover though with Fakatava and then Ratima as 1 and 2 in the pecking order
