The ABs need to attack the Arg scrum and get some easy penalties.
I think there is a real opportunity there. It certainly made a difference in the QF, not only the field position but the confidence to the pack.
It's just as much about the Arg scrum not being very good. They have been under pressure in most games in the RWC. We just have to hope there are a few of them (only 5 vs Ireland).
Used to be their pride and joy

Call it what you like. The betting markets are saying the All Blacks are 1/12 on to make the final. All the pundits are saying we are going to make the final.
I’d say there’s an enormous air of complacency around this Semi Final. We’ve been here before and we know where it ends up. Respect your opponent or end up on your arse.
Have the AB’s indicated they don’t rate/respect the Pumas’s? Or is it AB fans?

@ACT-Crusader The All Blacks lineout is the absolute key for me. It’s been rock solid in recent tests. If Argentina can disrupt it they’ll think they have a chance.

Can someone whack together a combined All Blacks / Pumas XV please?
I wouldn’t pick one Puma in a combined team…
there's my boy
Montoya ?

Argentina can win:
- Disrupt the All Blacks lineout.
- Compete at every breakdown. Exert control there.
- Ruthlessly exploit any AB ill discipline. Kick all their goals.
- Read the NZ overloads and long passes. Look for intercepts.
- Charge their big ball of muscles at the weaker AB defenders e.g Mo’unga and Jordan.
- Stay calm and execute brilliantly in the last ten minutes.

And Jordie should have been 12 long ago.
Anyone know how many Super Rugby Games Jordie has started at 12 before Foster put him there?

Maybe in the same region as Telea, Rieko and Jordan in their positions?

Genuine question. IIRC Reiko had played a season or two at 13?

Exhibit B of what can go horribly wrong in a World Cup Semi Final.
You forgot to attach Annexure A to Exhibit B that says that match was against the defending RWC champs with a team littered with world class players....
On home soil in front of 80k fans, 70k of which were wearing canary yellow.

Not too cold tomorrow night in Paris, but it is likely to be windy and wet. The Wellington boys will feel like they’re at home.
This worries me less than any potential complacency. The weather is shit in NZ and kids grow up playing in wet weather conditions.

I am not sure this is true,Tela who drifts in field on defense,De groot who can get caught flat footed and BB who can be a bit gun shy are weaker places to exploit.
One of the bigger hits last game was Mounga on Aki.

2 things
On the Saturday before the SA game - the ab squad was doing promotional work in various pharmacies across London for some partnership. My wife and daughter saw some in a pharmacy in Clapham.
This was just after arriving so they were taking it very easily going into this warm up game.
Secondly, the only realistic window available this year for S&C was August/September. We did this in 2015 successfully.
So we could afford to do a window in this time because we needed to, there was no reward for winning the French game and the pool was pretty light and we had an additional week.
Players like Tamaiti Williams looks to have really benefited from S&C during that period.
The performance against Italy probably shows that the team has benefitted from it.

TAB odds are not AB's attitudes.
Fan's opinions are not the AB's mindset.

Christie again
FFS. Let's hope Smith stays on for the full 80 minutes again.
(unless the AB's have a big lead with say20105 minutes left). As we found out last week, we're better off just sending Aaron to stand behind the try line for 5 minutes either side of halftime and play with 14.
with at most 2 more games in the black jersey...good bloody luck getting him off the field i would say
I'm hoping the try line is on the field this week.
Pretty sure selections reflect this
