Jacobson and Vaai aren't required in a crucial position if a 38yo gets injured.
Who is our 38 year old?
Agent Sexton?I'm aging Dane so it sounds better.
By the way he's 39 now.

Your reminder that the All Blacks have lost four World Cup Semi Finals.
They’ve lost twice to Argentina in this World Cup cycle.
Argentina won the Football World Cup last year after losing their opening game.
Everyone is writing off Argentina. They will feel it is them against the world.
For me, Friday night is a massive banana skin.
I would agree except for that reference to soccer, which is as relevant as Lionel Messi's bowel movements.
-
Call it what you like. The betting markets are saying the All Blacks are 1/12 on to make the final. All the pundits are saying we are going to make the final.
I’d say there’s an enormous air of complacency around this Semi Final. We’ve been here before and we know where it ends up. Respect your opponent or end up on your arse.

@voodoo but also, you could see if you can find out the rumour about any ABs whose defence was not up to scratch.
See JGP's try and Will Jordans poor effort
Not quite the rumour I had in mind.
you're welcome
So you haven't heard about the liaison liaison.

@Rancid-Schnitzel I suspect the Argentinians will take enormous confidence from the heroics of their soccer. Everyone is writing them off, but they will be full of passion and belief tomorrow night.

It will be able to take the place of the stuffing they get knocked out of them by the ABs
-
Exhibit B of what can go horribly wrong in a World Cup Semi Final.
-
Rainy weather for last two weekends, more scrums, which will pressure the pumas

Enormous confidence? I'm not sure about that.
But don't get me wrong, I'll be a nervous wreck until (hopefully 🙏) the game is in the bag.

Christie again
FFS. Let's hope Smith stays on for the full 80 minutes again.
(unless the AB's have a big lead with say20105 minutes left). As we found out last week, we're better off just sending Aaron to stand behind the try line for 5 minutes either side of halftime and play with 14.
with at most 2 more games in the black jersey...good bloody luck getting him off the field i would say

You forgot to attach Annexure A to Exhibit B that says that match was against the defending RWC champs with a team littered with world class players....

But...if we make the final, help the Boks, as I view their scrum as a little better than ours.
-
If we can get through the 80 with no cards - so no absorbing tackles, no instinctively putting your hand up in the passing corridor, no hanging on to the maul when you've lost your footing, no leaving the ground on a contested kick unless you know you're a chance - we will be in a great position to win this thing.
-
Not too cold tomorrow night in Paris, but it is likely to be windy and wet. The Wellington boys will feel like they’re at home.
-
@sparky of those 4 semi losses, only 1 team that beat us is left...

The ABs need to attack the Arg scrum and get some easy penalties.
I think there is a real opportunity there. It certainly made a difference in the QF, not only the field position but the confidence to the pack.
It's just as much about the Arg scrum not being very good. They have been under pressure in most games in the RWC. We just have to hope there are a few of them (only 5 vs Ireland).
Used to be their pride and joy

Have the AB’s indicated they don’t rate/respect the Pumas’s? Or is it AB fans?
-
@ACT-Crusader The All Blacks lineout is the absolute key for me. It’s been rock solid in recent tests. If Argentina can disrupt it they’ll think they have a chance.
-
-
@sparky hopefully in his downtime, Samisoni has been practising his throwing.

They're not exactly renowned for being lineout disrupters are they?
-
And Scott Barrett his kickoff receptions. Yes, I've seen the clips of the Chch test again.

I wouldn’t pick one Puma in a combined team…
there's my boy
Montoya ?
-
Argentina can win:
- Disrupt the All Blacks lineout.
- Compete at every breakdown. Exert control there.
- Ruthlessly exploit any AB ill discipline. Kick all their goals.
- Read the NZ overloads and long passes. Look for intercepts.
- Charge their big ball of muscles at the weaker AB defenders e.g Mo’unga and Jordan.
- Stay calm and execute brilliantly in the last ten minutes.
-
So much cliché and yet you didn't even say "score more points than the opposition".

And Jordie should have been 12 long ago.
Anyone know how many Super Rugby Games Jordie has started at 12 before Foster put him there?

Maybe in the same region as Telea, Rieko and Jordan in their positions?

Genuine question. IIRC Reiko had played a season or two at 13?

On home soil in front of 80k fans, 70k of which were wearing canary yellow.

This worries me less than any potential complacency. The weather is shit in NZ and kids grow up playing in wet weather conditions.

I am not sure this is true,Tela who drifts in field on defense,De groot who can get caught flat footed and BB who can be a bit gun shy are weaker places to exploit.
One of the bigger hits last game was Mounga on Aki.

2 things
On the Saturday before the SA game - the ab squad was doing promotional work in various pharmacies across London for some partnership. My wife and daughter saw some in a pharmacy in Clapham.
This was just after arriving so they were taking it very easily going into this warm up game.
Secondly, the only realistic window available this year for S&C was August/September. We did this in 2015 successfully.
So we could afford to do a window in this time because we needed to, there was no reward for winning the French game and the pool was pretty light and we had an additional week.
Players like Tamaiti Williams looks to have really benefited from S&C during that period.
The performance against Italy probably shows that the team has benefitted from it.

TAB odds are not AB's attitudes.
Fan's opinions are not the AB's mindset.

Apparent the best performing lineout at RWC.
Unfortunately hooking Jesus is our sub lineout thrower.

I think I read a few days ago ,
They have won 51 from 52 off our throw , lost just the one in the France game .

Not that Bundee did anything to exaggerate the effect...
