RWC QF: All Blacks v Ireland

@Bones All Blacks have better players in their starting XV compared to what Ireland faced in test series last year (better props, better backrow balance, better flyhalf, better 12, better wings), their bench is much stronger and they have better assistant coaches.
Alas, Foster is still head coach

I'd say that Aussie-Irish Hansen has a greater grasp of Irish language than James Ryan although he has got strong political family history connections.
Bundee learned off the Irish anthem before setting foot on the pitch in his first cap which was impressive.

@stodders Fickle bunch after what Jack OâPyper has previously done
forto them.An alternative viewpoint.

With Barnes in charge, does that mean anything goes at the breakdown?
Yes, but I'm not sure who that benefits the most!
-
@The-Irishman Both sets of coaches will be planning havoc at the breakdown. It could be absolute chaos

New Zealandâs chances of doing so have been boosted with news that prop Tyrel Lomax could return from a knee injury.
âHe's trained really well today, got through what he needed to and definitely he'll be considered for selection,â forwards coach Jason Ryan said.
âWhen you head into a final, which it is, it's important that you've got the luxury of picking from a squad that's fully available. That's where you want to be.
âYou're always going to get niggles but it's great that Lowy (Lomax) has got through today and we have a pretty high intensive training on Thursday, so he'll need to tick that off as well."

@Bovidae Irish fans v happy with the appointment of Barnes. Last 2 tests he has reffed them (vs NZ in 3rd test 2022 and vs France in 2023 6N) they have won.
Seems they were more concerned they would get Peyper
The Irish dislike peyper with a vengeance. After Dublin. They like Barnes though.

I don't think breakdown chaos suits us, our attack needs fast ball. Ireland seem just a little more street smart than us.
We need our scrum firing because Barnes is quick with the penalties and not one for resets. We can't be gifting Sexton points. On the flip side if things aren't going Irelands way he won't put up with Sextons shit either.

@Bovidae Wayne Barnes in a WC quarter final.... here we go.
Fucking arsehole cost us a place in a World Cup Semi Final in 2007. I hate him.

And he is fully aware of it,he openly talks about the fallout from that game in podcasts etc .
Itâs etched into his subconscious he fucked us over once before, and it does sound like he has regrets
And thatâs why he just maybe a good choice this time around

You need counselling mate. Hating someone who made a couple of mistakes in 2007. He was a young ref who may of got caught in the headlights and the ABs were a team similar, had a team without the smarts to wun game, all have grew and became better at what they did, that includes Barnes (probably best ref in world or certainly top 2-3) Richie McCaw as a captain, (openly says he learnt a lot) and whole AB leadership group.
I more concerned with TMO.
