Beaudy keeps his place. It would have been good to see WJ or pretty much anyone at 15 instead.
Yes, this should have been an opportunity to give Jordan a go at fullback.
How many games has Clarke played on the right wing?
Williams to be the Moli of the 2023 squad.

Apart from the donkey midfield, that's pretty damn good.

@antipodean really love the halves pairing. We need some spark in this team and those two will bring it.

It was predictable, but good to see them both getting a run. Hopefully their performances aren't just judged on the relative ease of the opposition, but the ability to stay within pattern, make good decisions and provide excellent ball to their teammates.

Did any of you guys watch the Italy v Namibia match?
They beat them 52-8
You’re all flapping your gums like you’re about to play Ireland or SA in the QF ffs
Regardless of who was picked in whatever position this match is going to tell you 4/5 of fuck all beyond are players match fit
-
Thank you Sam Whitelock, awesome.
A great All Black -
@MiketheSnow not about the opposition quality. More about whether the players can play to the pattern and execute consistently. You know, like Ireland did against Romania to blow the cobwebs out

Within the current squad I see the following:
- Frizell - ..?
- Cane - Papali'i
- Savea - Jacobson
If the intent is to find a replacement for Frizell, Blackadder IMO isn't a like for like. If they want someone to cover 7 and 8, perhaps you could make a case for him, but there's no recent body of evidence that compels me to agree. And anyone who mentions an effort against Manawatu is taking the piss.
I think the way you've set the five out at the top is right - and if Frizell isn't fit for the QF they'd play Scott Barrett at 6. You've got to have three tall lineout options - especially vs SA.
Ethan is proficient at 6, 7 and 8 in a Chris Masoe way, so he's an ideal bench option - and he potentially provides cover for the injured Cane.
A bit surprised they didn't put him straight onto the bench for this one.

Yep 100% it is Namibia,If we have people wanking on about players who play well in this match that they should be in the top XV to play the QF,Well we are in a desperate state and we probably are thanks to Foster.
It does not mean a thing if players can play to a pattern etc its Namibia and you will not be able to replicate in the QF.

It still will not tell us anything, we are playing Namibia it means nothing as how can you compare that to what you can achieve against the big boys in the QF, you will not get away with shit you do in this game in that QF.

how come everyone needs rest except BB and savea, is it literally because fozzie has no one else he trusts in those posititions?

Not sure on Savea,But maybe by giving BB the game against Namibia and he shines it justifies his selection going forward, well in Fosters eyes anyway.
That could be a dangerous selection game to play.
