@Bones I’d be having a quiet word with Perofeta too if I was Fozzie…

I'm not going to judge a ten outside that abysmal halfback performance.

I would've said Jordan is a really good wing and an average fullback, Faingaanuku doesn't offer anything more than Clarke so can go bye - but again tough to judge when the halfback takes so long to distribute, if he even makes it to the breakdown.

Couldn't disagree more regarding Faingaanuku .... unless you want him to make a break and full over a bit more?

ALB was just ok. He is a stepper rather than someone that takes contact looking for soft shoulder.

That has been the issue having him and Havs, they both step too much. Ennor was actually a lot more direct. And that is way JB has had such an impact, he just breaks the gainline when he carries.

ALB and Goodhue were a problem in 2019 for this exact reason. Followed by a few years of Havili.

At the moment its Jordie or nothing. The big boys up north will eat up all the other candidates.

Happy to get the win but fuck me that first half just reminded me too much of the last few years. Let’s hope that’s the last we see of it this year.

Christie and Nepo must be out. Dmac was shit but will go. Just a bad game. Anton Lienert-Brown has lost a bit IMHO Yep I would go with all the young props

@Machpants nah didn't see anything from LF that CC hasn't offered this year, how was his kick chase? Plus, he's chasing the money and Clarke isn't, so easy decision for me.

Yeah don't know what's up with DMac kicking when he's usually excellent, but I can understand how playing outside Christie might impact that too.

That's a big shout. LF was Julian Savea-esque today. Taking the ball up in the middle of the park to get us over the gain line.

I have seen Caleb Clarke in the clear a few times in the black jersey now....And it's like he is walking in porridge. And then he falls over.

Like his first touch you mean?

Lol Leicester was all over the place making impact, he should be in over Clarke. But hard to judge DMac cos of Christie. But his kicking was utter wank

Leicester was solid, committed, with go-forward and cleaned up some messy ball. I'd have him over Clarke at this stage.

Thought the referee handled the game well, was consistent in his decision making, missed a couple of knock ons, nothing big.

Stevenson will be happy with his 2nd half, won a turnover, should have gotten another out on the flank there but was unlucky the ref didn't award it. Really sets up other players well. Don't think his 1st half was a horror show, it just wasn't good, but it wasn't very good for the whole team.

All stuff Clarke has delivered this year. Hasn't muffed a try though eh.

We have to remember - there were a lot of changes in this team.

Christie should be gone even though the fwds were crap for the 1st 40mins which effected Dmac -- that said he made a lot of poor decisions today and kicked poorly to compound it.

Mounga is the #1 10 ( I would always have Dmac in the squad)

Great experience for a lot of them today -

I'd love to know what Sonny told Quade, looked serious. Insights about the game?

Why did the AB’s kick so much in the first half? Pressure or game plan?

although Dmacs time and delivery was impacted by Christie as well, meaning his execution impacted, Christie also needed to give his forwards a rocket, you hear Smith bossing his pack.

Even if he doesn't male big clean breaks, Jordie drags defenders to him, they can't keep resetting effectively. He's been a loss.

it looked to me like DMAC was trying miracle stuff. static ball. no go forward and staccato possession due to dropped ball etc.

the kicking was just panic stations.
