Hurricanes 2024

@Nepia such a piece of shit franchise aye (as they happily look down on your franchise from top of the log).
Haha so much success with all those titles you’ve won. Give me a break… or don’t because your lot have broken enough things recently.

They're one spot above my shit franchise, maybe don't celebrate yet.
Knocking out Wellington, and winning (and breaking) the shield, and not spending over our means like other unions is success enough me.
-
@Nepia the Shield moves around all the time. True success is winning titles and finishing the job when it matters.
Atleast our lads aren’t the most hated province in NZ.
Also, who calls their own franchise shit. Crack up.
The Canes and Lions will be fine, they are financially poor atm because they’ve just invested in the best sports training facility in NZ which is already bearing fruit not only for the Canes atm but the Phoenix and other teams (Lions championship in 2022) that train there.

I wasn't calling them shit I was just parroting your words back to you but if you think you've scored an internet win for that then you do you.
-
some funny sh!t @Canes4life going one outs with all the angry HB weirdos, yous need to stop coming at him, the bro never backs down haha
-
@BerhamporeNinja mate I understand never backing down though, sometimes you think if I don't reply they will think they won or something Haha. I am same sometimes then think shit it's only someone under a pseudo on the net etc.
And @gt12 mate never think what you read in posts in here has anything to with reality of running rugby or how it is run and should in anyway decide make up of boards etc Though I do kind of agree I not sure about representative etc on NZRU. -

I think you will find that the NZCIS is a privately owned organisation and all users there are tenants who pay for the use of the fabulous facilites. I have heard whispers that the costs of using the place might be rather expensive but to use the best you cannot expect to pay $2.00 Shop prices!
-
@Canes4life I had heard that too but was reluctant to let it out of the bag on here. Even if WRFU have a longish contract it would be pointless them staying at NZCIS if they could not honour it financially and putting themselves further in the poo. If true hopefully common sense from both parties would prevail. If they bleed too much further cash they might be forced to drop out of the NPC and be consigned to play in the Heartland Championship!!!!!!!!!
Certainly a major fall from the halcyon early days of Super Rugby when their local affiliated Clubs received annual distributions of anything between 15 and 20 grand from Hurricanes financial surpluses for a short period. -

Hey, I'm not a weirdo.
Angry, maybe?
In a shitfighting mood because I just finished my one big week of work each year - definitely.

The French will make him an offer he can't refuse, especially given NZ are unlikely to throw a lot of money at a yet to be proven kid.
-
Roigard posted on his Insta “I’ll be back”, so that doesn’t sound good. Players don’t usually do that if they are only out for 8 weeks or so.
-
So with Roigard likely out for the season, Perenara now becomes pivotal to our title hopes. He’s in the best nick of his career after spending so long on the sidelines himself so hopefully he can get back to his best. We’ve also got Richard Judd and Jordi Vijoen behind him. I wouldn’t mind seeing Vijoen get more time, he was one of the Canes best in the first few games of the year and has a bloody slick pass. I’d prefer him backing up Perenara than the ageing Judd simply because of his bullet passing game and his zippyness around the ruck, could be influential late in a game. He also has a good relationship with Cameron, both having played for Manawatu this year.
