The power of Pouri. I wonder what the NZ Super Rugby player record is?

Perenara likely available from round 3:

@Canes4life I must admit I was wondering why no one had posted anything about the team.

Interesting developments - Wellington considers selling Hurricanes share after mounting losses.
I think it will be a good move - https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/350178852/wellington-rugby-considers-selling-hurricanes-share-after-mounting-losses

@Canes4life Agreed mate, but we could see that coming really.

@Dan54 just highlights that New Zealand's rugby model isn't working anymore. NPC is pretty much a dev comp these days, NPC doesn't work in big stadia anymore.
It's off-topic for this thread, but we need to cut out one tier.

Not good news for Roigard by the sounds. Has tweaked his bicep and is now going for scans. Why is it always the good players that go down FFS? Even mild bicep tears can take months to recover from. Has our season finished before it's already begun? We won't win shit without him at halfback considering our limitation at 10.
We might be left with Judd and Vijoen to open the season in Australia. LOL.
Also, this quote from Laidlaw is a little worrying - "I would suggest he's probably in the best condition of his career physically... I thought he was one of the players who actually played really well last week"................UMMM Roigard didn't play last week fella.

I'm liking Laidlaw's approach to selection. From Brad Shield's interview on the Rugby Pod it sounds like no matter what reputation you have, you need to earn the jersey. This means he's likely to pick those in form which is a huge difference to Holland who picked his favourites even though they underperformed for so long.
Like any team, our hopes this year will linger on how good our 10 plays so it's good to see Laidlaw hasn't made up his mind on who that will be yet. Apparently it's a 3 horse race between Cameron, Love and Morgan atm so Laidlaw clearly sees Godfrey as a fullback (interesting though as he's listed as a 10 on the Canes website). What I'm hoping is that Cameron plays well on Friday and solidifies his rank as our number 1 ten. This will mean we don't need Morgan on the bench because Love can clearly cover 10 aswell from fullback.

@MN5 like Brad Shields I've recently resided back in Eastbourne, so it's good to see a fellow community member taking the reigns.
You're one of the crossing guards at muritai too huh?

Easy to say of course. Were there examples of Laidlaw dropping out of form senior players in 7's? Let's see what happens if Shields form dips
Although, maybe he's had a change of philosophy or maybe 7 contracts provided more restrictions?

@Duluth Never watch 7s mate, so wouldn't know if he did or didn't drop out of form players, but withh all due respect to most posters, we don't know who is out fo form etc anyway, as we tend to see if players do amazing things, and if we don't like them judge them harshly, and don't take account of what's happening around them.
