Could be wrong but read he benched 170kg, Deadlifted 240kg........looks more of a bodybuilder than powerlifter though......

EDIT - Not to say that both players are not rounded, but there are certain parts of their game which are world leading, whilst others are middle of the pack.

There's no doubt he's driven, nor that he's unbelievable over the ball and only a twat would suggest he doesn't really deeply care about social equality etc. but it's the deification that I find nauseating. It has given them an entry pass into the game- if they see a player they know on screen, it certainly makes them feel more comfortable watching the game.
 
In terms of tangible ratings, or ticket sales well I'm not so sure. But it certainly can't hurt.

I agree any rugby player being high profile in Australia is a plus. James O'Connor should have been that guy, but he went all Beiber. Pocock is certainly big with the SJW/SBS/ABC crowd. But how long will that last and will that group actually help grow the game? I have my doubts. A new darling is only a hashtag campaign away.
 
At the end of the day, much of Pocock's so-called activism is as shallow as the media and those gobbling his knob on twitter. All about promoting one's own feeling of moral superiority rather than actually doing anything. Not to mention a rather farking large dose of hypocrisy.

I've been against Pococks's ridiculous holier than thou reputation for sometime. I do recall before the world cup final an Australian newspaper calling Richie a grub (remind me when he was suspended for blatant foul play?), and I called Pocock a grub for kicking Richie in the face on the ground in the final (may have caused one of NTA's meltdowns with that), but here we are again, and one of the most overrated rugby players on earth is at it again. It was an horrific piece of foul play. I'm no Chiefs fan, and comments earlier in this thread remind me of what knobs they are, but at the time during a magnificent match and display by the current best team in the comp, I was horrified. Leitch was lucky to come out of a choke hold with no long term damage. Very lucky. This wasn't a split second rush of blood. He choked him for 10 seconds.
 
I believe Pocock's apology is genuine and respect him for it. Hopefully this will make him think about some of his foul play in the past and eliminate it. I'm happy if the Aussies continue to think he's a messiah and keep picking him. Anyone remember anything he did in the world cup final (except stand on McCaw's face)? Me neither.

Just got round to watching this game.
Those 6 tries in Brumbyland were sweet alright.
I know the talk is of Cruden, but Ngatai - that explosive burst of pace, before offloading to Lowe - jesus where did that come from?
Thought Ngatai controlled the tempo of that game, the deft touches showed by both he and Cruds, & the young dynamos were a joy to watch.
Lowe has beefed up since last season and it is good to see him revelling in the involvement. That hip-swivel for the Sanders try. and offloads just bamboozled the Brumbies.
Why would Cruds want to take on the kicking duties when you have the options of DMac, Ngatai and Lowe? 
Bloody hell Lowe's boot - he has a serious punt on him........Israel who?

Like many men before him, Mr Pocock forgot to put the seat down. It is unclear at this time whether or not it was the 27-year-old, or his wife, who later returned to restore the toilet back to its original state.
The Apology follows in full:
