Italy seemed to be ok in their first game. Wales have been a bit shite in both.

Italy were shite during the first half against England. Otherwise, they have been playing rather well (particularly in counter attack where they were exciting to watch). Wales were dire.

Am I the only one who thinks the Reffing has been pretty good in the first 2 rounds?

The TMO has been used sparingly, the emphasis has been on letting the game flow, and any card issues have been sensibly handled.

Attacking rugby has been rewarded. Refs are hot on players supporting their own body weight in rucks if they're trying to steal the ball. Actually applying the laws. It's had a great effect on the quality of rugby but Wales and France have suffered as a result.

Mostly average to good URC players. Half the Welsh team against ireland were Ospreys players. Ospreys are 13th in the URC.

Whilst ignoring others - the brazen and conspicuous way players are sealing off on their own ball doesn't quite fit.

holy shit Ireland were terrible for that, guys just blatantly laying on the ground, or diving head first over rucks, and Wayne doing fuck all about it.

@mariner4life to be fair I thought France were just as bad, but man it was blatant. Guys just slowly lying down on the guys on the ground and then shunting forward a bit oooeerrr

England started off doing it too, but then weirdly seemed to stop once Italy got penalised for it

It’s all over most MSM in the UK now so some substance. My guess is vague promises from WRU, climb down by players , subsequent reneging by WRU and continued rumbling/mess for sometime to come.

BTW I like what you did there leek. Very good.

Whatever the reality, it's quite sad it's come down to this. Needs to bet sorted quickly.

    Tell them to fuck off

Happened about 10 years ago too

Richard Webster famously lambasted the players then, saying he and thousands of others would gladly don the jersey for free

@MiketheSnow Personally find the whole thing incredibly sad. I am old enough and rugby mad enough to always consider Wales along with South Africa as our best rivals, not necessarily in results etc, but in the countries love of the game. I always generally wherever I am if I having a beer or something, there a Saffa or Welshmen around, I can have a bloody good chat about rugby. Also best mate is Welshmen living in Aus too!!
