Six Nations 2023

You'd have to say the 2023 RWC is shaping up to be the most competitive ever...
-
Am I the only one who thinks the Reffing has been pretty good in the first 2 rounds?
The TMO has been used sparingly, the emphasis has been on letting the game flow, and any card issues have been sensibly handled.

Hansen's mother is from Cork. Bealham's grandmother is from Enniskillen. Both qualify through relatives.
Lowe and JGP were, admittedly, project players. Aki, I believe, was more organic.
Agree with the extension to five years on residency grounds.

Bit of a joke really
Ireland have kiwis and aussies in thr back line
The French captain is a fucking saffa
There are like 2 Scots in th3 Scottish team
International invitational XVs
There are only two players who are foreigners : Paul Willemsen and Uini Atonio. The All Blacks have poached Frizell, Reece, Fakatava and Sowakula lately.

Three tiers to this competition.
World Class: Ireland, France.
Okay: Scotland, England.
Shite: Italy, Wales.Italy seemed to be ok in their first game. Wales have been a bit shite in both.
Italy were shite during the first half against England. Otherwise, they have been playing rather well (particularly in counter attack where they were exciting to watch). Wales were dire.

Attacking rugby has been rewarded. Refs are hot on players supporting their own body weight in rucks if they're trying to steal the ball. Actually applying the laws. It's had a great effect on the quality of rugby but Wales and France have suffered as a result.

Whilst ignoring others - the brazen and conspicuous way players are sealing off on their own ball doesn't quite fit.

holy shit Ireland were terrible for that, guys just blatantly laying on the ground, or diving head first over rucks, and Wayne doing fuck all about it.
-
@mariner4life to be fair I thought France were just as bad, but man it was blatant. Guys just slowly lying down on the guys on the ground and then shunting forward a bit oooeerrr
England started off doing it too, but then weirdly seemed to stop once Italy got penalised for it

Wales players reportedlyis that a sauce or a leek?
I'm calling gossip and hearsay being presented as fact for what it is - unsubstantiated bollocks
