Six Nations 2023

Great story. Like to think this sort of thing would still happen today.
-
18-9 to Ireland
Tries worth 4 point.
England 1 converted try + a penalty
and Ireland 2 converted tries plus a dropped goal and a penalty -

Hence Pullen's famous after-game quote: " We may be crap, but at least we turn up"

By geez just finished watching Ireland/France game. Waht a bloody ripper, can see why teams are ranked 1 & 2 in world, France seem to me to have a bit more in individual skilled players (just), and Ireland just seem to have a great swarming team type game as they showed over here early in year. They certainly look more than a team that needs Johnny Sexton. In DuPont I think France would have very nearly the best player in world (subjective of course) and I think in him and N'Tamack they get great halves pairing. Also we can not srgue with Ireland's No 1 ranking,
-
What strikes me is that both teams are full of world class players and very few average players. This is not the case with the All Blacks at the moment, who have a number of players in their ranks who would not even be selected for the wider squad of either team.

Bit of a joke really
Ireland have kiwis and aussies in thr back line
The French captain is a fucking saffa
There are like 2 Scots in th3 Scottish team
International invitational XVs

I'm not sure I understand this comment?...
Ireland has aki and Lowe (who are both kiwis) and the rest are Irish?
Dupont is France's captain? And extremely French?
Watch this if you disagree:

I not sure about not getting picked for squad, but agree we wouldn't have a hell of a lot that would make run on teams. They are a couple of good teams!

You missed out Mack Hansen (Aussie) from the Irish backline.
The French player who spoke after the game was their South African lock Paul Willemse.

You'd have to say the 2023 RWC is shaping up to be the most competitive ever...
-
Am I the only one who thinks the Reffing has been pretty good in the first 2 rounds?
The TMO has been used sparingly, the emphasis has been on letting the game flow, and any card issues have been sensibly handled.

Hansen's mother is from Cork. Bealham's grandmother is from Enniskillen. Both qualify through relatives.
Lowe and JGP were, admittedly, project players. Aki, I believe, was more organic.
Agree with the extension to five years on residency grounds.

There are only two players who are foreigners : Paul Willemsen and Uini Atonio. The All Blacks have poached Frizell, Reece, Fakatava and Sowakula lately.

Three tiers to this competition.
World Class: Ireland, France.
Okay: Scotland, England.
Shite: Italy, Wales.Italy seemed to be ok in their first game. Wales have been a bit shite in both.
Italy were shite during the first half against England. Otherwise, they have been playing rather well (particularly in counter attack where they were exciting to watch). Wales were dire.
