All Blacks v England

@Bones I don't know. He was an AR in the England-Japan game.
Edit:
Australian Nic Berry was scheduled to ref the test at Twickenham – New Zealand’s last of the year – however World Rugby on Wednesday (NZT) announced he has headed home for personal reasons.

A French ref. Oh great.
I’m more concerned about that whole ref combo. The Georgian project ref and Murphy alongside Random Raynal?
Bring back Barnes?

There'll be no time wasting though eh

The time wasting will be the frog and the georgian trying to understand each other

picking the team are we? I am not expecting major changes and some people in positions we have seen before.. I am picking DH to miss out this week though. There is much love for Caleb in the selectors and although we have seen weaknesses they do appear to be persisting through it.
1.Ethan de Groot; 2.Codie Taylor; 3.Tyrel Lomax; 4.Brodie Retallick; 5.Sam Whitelock; 6.Scott Barrett; 7.Dalton Papali'i; 8.Ardie Savea; 9.Aaron Smith; 10.Richie Moúnga, 11.Caleb Clarke; 12.Jordie Barrett; 13.Rieko Ioane; 14.Sevu Reece; 15.Beauden Barrett.
16.Samisoni Taukei'aho; 17.George Bower; 18. Fletcher Newell; 19.Shannon Frizell;20. Hoskins Sotutu 21.TJ Perenara; 22.Anton Lienert-Brown; 23.Stephen Perofeta.
If I were Eddie, I'd probably be preparing for something very close to this.
Personally, I'd start Sami and finish with Codie, but the selections for Wales make me think Fozzie will likely go the other way. Won't be surprised, either way.
For England, I think they might want fresh legs in the tight five for the final 30 minutes, so I'd keep one of the big three locks on the bench - it could be Brodie. I doubt they'd put both Frizz and Akira on the bench, so my selection allows them to deploy all those five. I think this is the first time this year that all five have simultaneously been available, so a bit of a test case.
ALB at centre, Rieko on the left wing.
Backing a hunch that Fozzie is a man with a plan. He's been coaching ALB for 6 years and for much of that time he's been a starting midfielder - he's one of Fozzie's boys. His wings, excluding Telea, haven't been impressive on this tour. Clarke has played every minute of the three tests so far (the only person who has) - and Rieko got a little run on the wing vs Wales. ALB might have scuppered the plan by not being great last weekend, but I reckon Fozzie will still rather have him on the park than Caleb.
I can't see Fozzie picking Telea for this one. He'll be desperate to win, give us all the finger with a seven game winning streak to close the season and sleep soundly all summer. I think he'll recall Big Leicester being pretty good in Ireland 1 and not so good in his next outing. Not a game for rookies.

@Chris-B there’s a couple ways it could go with 2nd 5 / centre / fullback
Jordie / Ioane / Beaudie. ALB bench
ALB / Ioane / Jordie. Beaudie bench
Jordie / ALB / Beaudie. Ioane wing
Havili / Ioane / Jordie. Beaudie and ALB bench -
ALB was very poor with the 13 jersey. He is far too slow. He fared better when he went to 2nd Five. I guess he will be on the bench as Rieko Ioane is clearly the best centre in NZ. He is not the finished product there but he is still the best option. Currently, neither ALB, Ennor, LF or Aumua are good enough for the big games. It's a shame we could not see more of Peter Umaga-Jensen as a centre. He had been outstanding there two years ago before getting benched by Holland for the next Super Rugby season.

Haha, this
With Brodie Retallick's suspension completed and his 100th Test looming, it would be appreciated by the starting XV if he played against England because opposing them during training for the last two weeks, he had been a nuisance.

Weird, I don't recall anyone saying ALB was too slow to play centre before this weekend. Goodhue yes, but not ALB. I didn't notice a speed issue on my one viewing in middle of the night. Are we now expecting everyone to be quick like RI or has his speed suddenly deserted him?

Yeah, I didn't think speed was an issue - he was shit in the first part of the game but it wasn't speed related.

@Crazy-Horse i had never thought he had an abundance of speed...."slow" is relative as im sure everyone of them is faster than me, always thought of him more of a creator/distributor/initial break kind of guy rather than a run it in from 50m kind of guy

Yeah. I always considered him as being fast enough but not a speedster.
-
@Crazy-Horse and that might be the problem, playing at 13 in that formation with Havili inside...the role feels more like a finisher/speedster...role....which he isn't. so he might need to play outside someone like JB (so if ALB makes a break he can go in OR out to finishers) or inside RI (act as a more obvious second playmaker)
edit: i think a lot of my frustrations with fozzie is i dont believe he looks enough at, or dont understand his thinking behind, the combinations he selects, it does often feel like he views every position in isolation and not always how a player can perform in a role with the other people he's selected around them

Want to see more of this Eddie Jones come Saturday.
Is he ranting that the most blatant not supporting weight/hands on ground not ball penalty I've seen this year is not a penalty? I hope he's just swearing at the idiot who did it!
