I’m ok with the team except I would have brought Reece back. Not sure what he did to get dropped tbh other than play pretty well against Ireland.
Sotutu needs to take his opportunity. It’s entirely in his hands.
i know right, i think thats whats gets me, the people that get dropped after playing well and those that keep playing after playing poorly...hence my suspicion fozzie does his selections based on Rugby Challenge 19 player ratings
Yes and no.
Fan of Reece. But who to leave out? Your choices are JB or CC.
On form, Will Jordan gets a rest.
Heresy

Hmmm. I see the akira is awesome posts again. Bloody well show us please akira with a dominant display off the bench rather than an ok-ish one.
TBF there’s only one poster dying on that hill.
He’s a good player no doubt but the fact is that it’s not just Foster but Ryan as well that can see that he doesn’t match the desire for a straight running charger. They want someone that tackles with their shoulder more than their arms and drives with their legs in contact rather than trying to step.
No, just one that can be bothered arguing with the usual suspects about it.
Everything you wrote up there describes Akira's game. FFS.

We must have our players mixed up then 😀

No, just that you are pretty wrong (as usual) about how he plays.

@booboo Some players seem to be above criticism, WJ is one of them. Hasn't been playing well.
you can admit he hasn't been playing well whilst also acknowledging he's spent a lot of time on the end of a dysfunctioning backline (at times) and is potentially a much better 15 than 14, and its hard to say if he's better at 15 than JB if he never gets a run

His kicking when covering back has been poor, so quite far from getting ahead of JB on that aspect alone.
Reece has made a lot of attacking impact this year, and drastically improved his defence. Has been unlucky.
-
@Kirwan not arguing reece hasn't been unlucky, was trying to work out how to get him in there, just dont like players being judged too harshly when playing out of their prefered position, hence why i would give him a run, if he doesn't look much better then the decision is that much easier

If he's just a fullback then even more reason to play Reece.

Is that the same backline where Reece has looked excellent on the end of?

@Bones yes...and i was talking about putting reece back at the end of it...have said nothing other than reece is better at 14 than jordan
How much rugby did Jordan play on the wing last year? He seemed to be rather highly rated for a world player of the year nominee playing out of position.
Smith seemed to cope bloody well in a similar situation and he had nothing like the pace Jordan has (or had).
-
@Bones i dont feel anything other than admitting WJ should be hung from the crossbar is going to be an acceptable answer...but i'll try
yes, reece is very unlucky and looked much better at 14, i would have him there again
WJ has not achieved the same levels at 14 as we've seen previously, either his own or other 15's we've played at 14
JW should perform or lose his spot
....i was just suggesting giving him a run in a position he might play better in before writing him off...even if to get his confidence back up -

Yeah good one!
In response to the rest of your post - any idea how often he's played fullback at test level? I haven't, but I get the feeling he's spent the majority of his career on the wing. Surely he should be pretty damn comfortable there?

Maybe
ClarkeJordan should make way for Reece.
ClarkeJordan has been weak on defence and has made a few mistakes.Reece has a much higher work rate thanClarkeJordan who makes a couple of Runs in a game and not much else as far as work rate..I know right 😉

While I really hope he does step up, it seems a little rough to pass total judgement on a guy who has been completely ignored by selectors for weeks and as a result has played fuck-all rugby for an age.
Life is tough at the top. If he doesn’t play well he won’t be in the mix for the next test.
