Only going off one 'real time' viewing but I think Aussie were lucky to dodge another card when Jordan has his legs taken out from under him when going for a high ball. I think it was Koroibete. We scored a few phases after that so it was forgotten about. At the time the ref seemed to ignore it, then it sounded like he was told it was something that should be revisited and then we scored. Unsurprisingly there were no replays of it.
The call was that Koroibete was pushed into the contact accidentally by one of his team mates. I think we had one of those previously (maybe a NH Test?) where a player pulled out of contact but an accidental collision forced them into the zone.
Quite possibly, but I am not sure how you can tell that was the call from the coverage. Did you hear a conversation between the ref and the TMO?
Pretty sure I picked it up from Reynal's mic - had a look at the video at 53:55 game clock:
B Barrett puts up a bomb from just outside his 22, landing on AB 10m line
Koroibete is a bit in no man's land, looking for the ball but then realising he's run back too far. He pulls out of the contest, watches Jordan, setting for a tackle when he lands.
Kellaway, meanwhile, is roaring into the zone with eyes on the ball. He impacts Koroibete, forcing him into Jordan's path.
Reynal says pretty much immediately "No he was pushed. Play on!"
As the ball comes out of the next ruck, he clearly says "He was pushed by his player. Accidental. Yeah pushed by gold"And then I think he say something like "off his feet" but it isn't clear what he's referring to.
I agree with that, but let’s say Jordan stayed down / milked it, there is no doubt in my mind that they would’ve gone upstairs and OZ would’ve been penalised for nothing more than just careless play. Ref would’ve felt he had to do something because the slow mo replays would’ve shown a hot on someone in the air.

On the ref's decision at the end - would anyone have been cheesed off if he didn't take the penalty off Aussie? Was it crossing anyone's mind at the time that the ref should take action?
Watching on TV you don't, because there is talk so over it and replays of the turn over. But those at the ground have mentioned it was more obvious. And listening to the mic now, ref was pissed.
Foley ignored the ref and took a quick kick and got his team an undeserved 7 points.
Foley ignored the ref and didn't take his kick quick enough, and gifted the opposition an undeserved 5 points. And the game.Settings and roundabouts in rugby, but it was a bit of just desserts

Correct and gutsy decision by the ref

Ref didn't really gift opposition any undeserved 5 points, they scored a try, so maybe Aussie defence had a part to play?

Have I missed something here? I assume you are talking about the Wallaby try from the alleged forward pass? Are you saying the ref told Foley to not take the conversion?

For those watching on Stan in Oz, I watched the first half again last night using their Spidercam view.
It's slightly nauseating at first, then pretty amazing. You can see the setups, the lines, the spacing, as if youre behind the sticks in the top row, but instead you're still close enough to see all the detail.
And the best part, it plays in complete silence

Chunkyaho is the heart and soul of this fucking team.
Foster dropped him during the Irish series and benched him for 2 games. Never forget it.
Part of me wonders if there were reasons beyond what they said in the presser.

@Frank red for entering from the side would be novel but I wouldn't put it past rugby to miss a chance to card a bloke.
Quoting this for those who missed it.

@voodoo it was a few of the high shots that showed our defence, and is concerning with the lack of width and shape we use.
Is quite concerning that we have kept the same defence coach since 2017? and defence has been consistently poor, with no apparent improvement or innovation

That’s a miiiiiiiile forward
I recall the comms going on about Foley taking the kick quickly so the TMO can't intervene.
Is that an actual protocol, or just what everyone thinks it is?
Somewhere, sometime, I recall someone saying that wasn't the case.
Can anyone confirm?

Definitely forward pass in that off load
Almost Cardiff 07 level
Very quick conversion taken by Foley. Did not want that replayed on the big screen
I thought the rules had changed, and they could now pull it back even with a conversion taken
Yeah. This. Anyone confirm?

100%. Mcleod's system continues to be poor. He lives a charmed life.
