yes. That is what is upsetting me about the ABs, and to go to your earlier point about the fun of rugby being lost a little here. I don't mind the ABs losing to better teams if playing well but perhaps we are so critical because there is so little growth (and probably some stagnation) in the ABs for the last few years.
I can think of Samisoni and (sometimes) RI improving (and props improving) but the backs and loosies have mostly gone backwards, and our tactics are stale.

Not really.
I once watched a team reduced to 13 in the first half, including their halfback, pull away in the second half, to win quite convincingly. It was bizarre to watch 13 boys utterly dominate 15, but that's schoolboy rugby for you.
Yeah I very much doubt that's the norm.

so if the never-ending Fern project of JB as 12 starter eventuates is there a chance of Sullivan or Perofeta at 15? I was hoping they'd play Jordan at 15 but his tackling isn't currently very reassuring.

I’m not as down on this because I was pretty resigned to the fact that it was going to be a roller coaster ride in this 2020-2023 cycle.
Some things frustrate me from my armchair viewpoint because you sense that it could be better and some of the boys are capable of better. But there are some upsides which I try to focus on. Not always easy because rugby and sport more broadly can be an emotional ride.

George Bridge has been playing fullback for Canterbury and he knows the AB systems.….just saying 😀

A big national TV audience and a capacity crowd at Marvel Stadium has left officials happy with the decision to switch the Bledisloe.
In one of the strongest ratings performances in many years, the Wallabies-All Blacks clash drew in 630,000 viewers on Channel Nine nationally, and with 70,000-plus streaming the game on 9Now, finished with an audience of more than 700,000. That surpasses the 630,000 who tuned in to watch the Wallabies take on England in Brisbane in July, and combined with Stan viewership figures (which do not get released), informed sources said the Bledisloe Cup clash would have drawn in an audience of more than 1 million viewers. -

Clearly not intentional according to Rennie. I wonder what he said when Swain headbutted that English player (Hill?) in July..

@antipodean The referee could have given them a bit more time for the penalty. But once he's warned the players about time-wasting, it's really dumb of Foley not to take the penalty more quickly.
