Competitive squad. Solid looking forward pack. If we can dust the Force up front we should have the strike power to finish them off. Skudder is a big blow purely from the fact that he can turn nothing into something.

Damn that sucks about Skudder. Quite easily one of the top 2 or 3 exciting players in Super rugby.

I haven't watched a Force game this season, anyone know how Peter Grant has been playing?

Read this from the preview on the Force website:

Did You Know?
It is 10-years and one week since Cameron Shepherd scored a try in the corner against the Hurricanes and converted his own effort to hand the Force their first ever home win, 18-17. Interestingly, current Western Force scrum-half Alby Mathewson was on the losing side that day, starting in the No.9 jersey for the Wellington side.

https://www.westernforce.com.au/article/looking-ahead-–-western-force-vs-hurricanes#sthash.U0RdPxm6.dpuf

I remember that game. Tana gave a great post game interview in his praise for the Force and Cam Shepherd. -

I liked the black strip. Not so keen on the yellow though.

Forget the footy, it's the Hurricanes' outfit we need to talk about. Having played in, predominantly, yellow in the opening two rounds, the team unveiled a black ensemble at Eden Park.

The yellow, which has it's own unique sponsor, is for overseas games, apparently. Only the broadcasters felt black and blue might clash when the Hurricanes met the Highlanders, so they were told to wear the yellow. Or is it more mustard?

The black strip certainly channels Wellington's kit of the mid 1990s, which has disappointed some fans. They believe a yellow shirt has always been synonymous with the Hurricanes and want that to remain the case.

The team will be in the black outfit when they host the Western Force in Palmerston North on Friday night.
-

The yellow strip with the black shoulders looks ridiculous from behind. The yellow adidas stripes come over the shoulders like braces and when combined with the same colour shorts it looks like lederhosen or kids short dungarees. The Crusaders red strip with the black shoulders has the same effect.

Agree. The black with a bit of yellow looks good. But the design at the back. It looks silly
-

He's had a few shoulder issues so hopefully this will sort it out. -
