All Blacks v Pumas 1

@nostrildamus I think the lack of work by our props and to a lesser extent, our hooker when ST isnt playing, has been an issue for some time, putting additional load on our locks and forcing our loosies to play differently.
So I guess Saturday would highlight that given we looked better in the first 40 with some busy props and hooker, then we sub them off 4 minutes deep into the 2nd half, and our shape changes, so you could probably argue that it is playing its part.

@taniwharugby replacing the entire front row after they have only been back out on the paddock 4 mins was peak Fozzie

We drop down to 7th am I right???!!!
Lose again to Arg we go to 6th, Lose to Oz we then go to 7th

@dogmeat That's fairly common. The rationale is that they give the players a few minutes to warm up as they're not using the HT break to do so. I'm certainly not saying I agree with this tactic, but it's not restricted to just Foster. They would have made that decision at HT, and it was the wrong decision.

The decision was probably made pre game.

@Crazy-Horse sticking to a decision made pre game and ignoring the fact we barely had our noses in front isn't exactly flattering ot fozzie though

well fuck....definitely dont watch the game on your phone in bed in the early hour of sunday after getting home from watching your club team lose the final and hearing Otago also lost...that was a shit 24 hours
nothing to add that hasn't been said....they just need to do something! new coach...would make a change...actually playing young talent they picked for the squad like sotutu or perofeta might change something....playing people in the strongest position would change something...just do fucking something other than the same guys playing the same way and loosing
Good point about needing a new coach. What does everyone else think?

Ryan said there was minor injuries to both props. Then the decision was made to change to the front row that trained together

I am at the airport and I walked past an AB store. I found my heart sinking a little as I looked inside. This surprised me. I guess I am bothered by these results more than I suspected.
-
@Duluth if Ryan said that that was dumb. They all train together right? What happens if one prop is injured after 10? Sub the whole front row? Maybe he was trying to deflect some blame away from Foster. ST should have stayed on and hopefully next game that same decision will not be made.

know what you mean , its a very different feeling. I had some family over for a barbeque yesterday arvo , and I was grabbing something to wear after a shower , I picked up an Allblacks polo and for a split second I hesitated and thought , do I still wear this ?

I'm absolutely fucking gutted. Very real risk of becoming the West Indies of rugby.

ST was still playing well, hindsight is a great thing but would have been worth while for 5 minutes to see if he could play with the other props

Nobody needs hindsight to see that ST should be playing more minutes, not less. It was obvious way before these dipshits dropped him for a deciding Irish test.

Straight up copy of the Boks Bomb squad. Here’s a tip..they’re not the Bomb squad.

I noticed that he blamed that on Ryan and Schmidt in the PC. You are the head coach ffs, own that mistake and don't publicly out your assistants. He's definitely feeling the heat.

And an all Crusaders front five at that stage, which does seem to make some sense.

Based on 100% throwing record, it was last 15 where we really missed Sami. Mind you last throw from Codie was straight. It did seem that he stood almost in front of AB line so our side of middle, but nonetheless straight.
