So I guess the Ireland debacle was all Taylor and Reece's fault aye?
It is ok, Shannon is back. He'll be a dynamo off the bench. I suppose.
I'll guess we'll never see Tom Robinson in the ABs at this rate. Is there a ginger cap? -

Well if Ardie gets injured we will see Akira at number 8, where he played a while ago. Eek.
I thought it had been ages.. looked it up and it wasn’t that long ago
He had a couple of starts at 8 for the Blues last year. The year before that he played more at 8 than 6
I read somewhere despite all his times at 6 for the blues over his career he played more 8.

I'll not mention the back row combination apart from saying they have to fire in this game or the experiment needs to be scrapped.
With Havili at 12 and Barrett at 15, I expect to see a territorial kicking game. Clarke and Jordan are good kick chasers too, so expect to see the Bok back 3 put under pressure.
Back row under huge pressure.
So is the backline. AS/BB’s kicking games haven’t been good enough. Neither has the chase. Havili has looked like a fullback playing 2nd against good defensive teams, RI needs to work on his passing game, JB needs to keep his error rate down.
Hard to be confident.

There might be a few edits on the prediction page

@stodders I'm a bit surprised to see Reece gone. Thought he played well. Happy to see Clarke back of course. I guess they wanted a little more brawn.
Sorry for Reece. He's dangerous. But like the bigger Clarke. Shame they could get him on the bench, but QT covers midfield I suppose.

Happy with that except for bench loosie.
Hang on. Would have preferred Fakatava over Ginge.

A typically shocking team...
Also I thought Angus was suspended?
Got a week off for going to a how to tackle course

Wish they would play Jordan at 15. The problem is BB is a crap goal kicker so his brother has to play.
BB is on borrowed time if he keeps trotting out nothing but aimless midfield bombs.
At least they improved the front row.

Bravo on starting Taukei’aho but surprised that Taylor isn’t on the bench? Also should’ve started Barrett at 6 with Vaa’i at lock with Akira fresh off the bench running against a tiring Bok pack. I’m not a Frizell fan at Test level & I’d be pleasantly surprised if he adds much off the bench.
Clarke is a bold pick given he hasn’t played in what..2 months?

Let's hope it has been drummed into the team that they have to start well. It has been a while since they have.
Boks and the crowd will feed on any momentum they can get. Need to starve them, starting from kick off. Win the toss and kick long. Then sit in Bok territory and force them to play. And when they overplay (which I think they will if they get frustrated and the crowd gets on their back), broken field opportunities will present themselves.
No dumb penalties to relieve pressure and give Boks field position. No missed tackles to give Boks momentum. No messing about in the 22 (unless there's a clear overlap and space out wide to make easy metres).
