I actually feel bad for players, nobody wants to feel the way they do. Some good stuff there but we are a side who clearly doesn’t have a DNA. This team lacks Ben from accounts, Crotty's, Conrads, Franks brothers. Nuts and bolts. Hang your hat on them players.
This team isn't even doing the simple stuff well. Never mind the razzle dazzle.
Rieko has been really poor in last three matches. Some shocking bad choices in both defense and attack against Irish, and no sense of structured attack here.
Good for Blues, so what's missing: a physical 12 to vary the threat/create some room?

Just got up ,hardly surprised by this result , confidence is an amazing thing and i believe most of that confidence had been sucked out of this All Black team after the Irish series.
Probably , not a bad thing hopefully the catalyst for change in and around the coach and the skipper .
Dont get me wrong still want see the ABs do well, but this team is in freefall. -

All Blacks terrible again and absolutely deserved to lose. But the Boks tactics at the high ball all game lead to the Barrett incident at the end. They have clearly been coached to jump for the high ball with the intent to knock the opposition out of the way and the officials let them away with it. And the end result was the red card incident.

They've been doing it for years. At least Habana used to put his hand up at least when jumping.

Putting aside the issue of clean out (and not to in any way ignore its significance), apart from a stand out effort from Marx, AB forwards stood up well to comparison.
I thought our locks shaded it. Props so so, but Bok props tailed off after first scrum. PSDT very muted, and Wiese ineffective. Even Kolisi didn't for me outshine Cane.
The backs were the difference, even though Bok backs individually very meh. They had a clear plan to kick most of the time, and with our contesting being pants there was no reason to stop. Probably responsible for the win.
As for AB backs, to me they just seem muddled. Couldn't identify a focus on breaking on inside or to the outside.
If Jordan was a racehorse I'd suspect doping.
Jordie seems well off Super form. Richie seems to have the best boot at the mo.But at root, there is no discernible cohesion between 12 and 13. Compare Boks who have had same 10/12/13 for majority of games since 2019 RWC.

He did. He just didn't get any height because he got his takeoff point all wrong. That's what happens when you aren't looking at the ball and actually trying to contest.
He got away with one in first half against J Barrett. Watch it again. He didn't look at the ball at all. Just jumped to put off the AB catcher and interfere to force the knock on.

In fact, it's hard not to believe that ALB and Jack would go a long way to putting this right. Once Jack injured the options were limited this time.
If one wants targets then U-Js are probably next cabs on rank.

One thing I noticed is they are obviously got some issues with culture. Maybe I'm overstating it but after Ireland game we were not connected and together after the game or during it, this game there seemed to be an emphasis on celebrating say scrum wins, while after the game they came together for the huddle, incl all non-players. Issues maybe deep rooted. seemed a little forced from outside looking in. In comparison Sth Africa looked like they were best of
mates, lots of emotion, like Ireland...
