I would drop Havili, Aaron Smith, Jordie, Akira, Cane, both starting props.
Mo'unga probably deserves a few tests now too.
and replace Akira with Shannon??
Was Akira that bad? did some important tackles and at least one lineout. -
So what did Foster learn from this performance this week? Which building blocks are close together exactly and which ones are miles apart?
I can't remember the last time I saw such a toothless AB attack. Boks didn't have to do much, if anything. Just make their tackles and wait for an AB mistake.
There was heart and effort on defence. But those should be a given.
Samisoni played well. Lineout went well. Scrum got better. Young props got better.
Backrow had no platform to work off. AB backline looks very confused. How many times did players receive the ball standing still? I shouldn't be, but I'm shocked. These players aren't as bad as they are playing.

I actually feel bad for players, nobody wants to feel the way they do. Some good stuff there but we are a side who clearly doesn’t have a DNA. SA, Ireland, France even Aussie have a clear plan and looked connected, us we look like we are searching and play with little confidence on attack which puts our basic skills (catch pass and breakdown) under pressure. We need our plan to suit the players we have, I think there are elements where we are copying others (yes the ABs are not the leaders of innovation!) not gonna bag players but we need guys who are smart when we don’t have the ball, again hate comparisons but Conrad Smith was awesome without the ball. I feel with our plan we can be one-trick- ponies out wide.. my issue is I have no confidence that this will change, it’s been a long time since we have looked cohesive
I don’t disagree with what you have said, other than I think OZ are in a very similar boat to us. On evidence their plan is get the ball to Kerevi (or Koroibete) and see what happens.

I can see Arendse only getting 50% of 6 weeks = 3 weeks. In games it may be longer, because he also has to go through concussion protocols.
He nearly Alex McKinnon'd Beaudy with a fucking retarded challenge. He shouldn't play again in this tournament.
But he does get the Not An All Black discount. So probably only 2 weeks.

I seen Rieko catch a pass around 60 minutes and I thought Jesus , I forgot he was playing.
The 23 is something you would select when you are 14. Picking all the fast lads .
This team lacks Ben from accounts, Crotty's, Conrads, Franks brothers. Nuts and bolts. Hang your hat on them players.
This team isn't even doing the simple stuff well. Never mind the razzle dazzle.

@Bones yes give you that but he stopped a lot of their hooker's drive. I cant see him getting much of a running and linking game back (promising glimpse in 2021 never returned). And he doesn't seem to be winning tackles either. My point was really to srparate the captaincy issue from 7 issue (and i still think Ardie is more of a 7 than 8, our best 7).

It was mainly forwards receiving it standing still. Our attack for most of the game lacked execution and precision.

@ACT-Crusader I’m not saying there plan is good but when you watch them it’s pretty clear what they are trying to achieve. Us… ma

Anyway, next game the Springboks will be without Kolbe and Arendse.
The All Blacks are likely to be without BB.I hope their injuries aren't too bad.
Boks will still have all their forwards next week. Therein lies the problem.

He played a very average game. I didn't mention the captaincy there as he achieved zero there.
