Ollie Norris : Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Very good for the Maoris in the first test, poor in the second. Maybe one year too early for him.
Tamaiti Williams : can play on both sides of the scrum, which could be a bonus. He is the one with the highest ceiling. His scrummaging is head scratching as he can dominate his opponent in one scrum and then being monstered in the following one.
Hodgman : great workrate, scrummaging not so good.THP :
Tyrel Lomax : penalty magnet and tits for hands. Can scrum and good workrate.
Fletcher Newell : Good scrummager and dynamic in the loose, occasionally. Lacks experience.
Olli Jager : not outstanding but solid in most phases. Would not do worse than Nepo nor Ofa anyway.Hookers :
Asafo Aumua. Upside : his strength. Downside : tends to go missing.
George Bell : too young, of course. Could he be taken as an apprentice ?
Brodie McAllister : he is the type of player who won't let you down. Journeyman though.
Thompson : he has a very high ceiling IMO; he is the NZ Malcom Marx but his LO throwing has to improve drastically.Locks :
Josh Dickson. He could be the new Keith Robinson. Not brillant but solid in every facet of a lock play.
MSR : his criminal record does not favor him. Big man with good hands and mongrel. His showing for the Maoris against Ireland does not plead for him.
IWL : big and strong. I would prefer him over PT. Mobility questionable.
Goodhue : he's leaving so nah. Was part of a dominated front five in the SRP final.
Gallagher and Sangster : both need a watch for the future, but it's too early for them.

DMac : would displace Stephen Perofeta who did not have a single opportunity to show his worth.2nd Five :
Thomas Umaga-Jensen : big and strong but not very fast. Defense questionable. Would bring something different to the midfield.
Alex Nankivell : was brillant during the first rounds of the SRP then his form slipped down. Very poor outing for the Maoris.Centre :
Bailyn Sullivan : Outstanding with the Canes when given the opportunity. Poor display for the Maoris against Ireland. Does not look like an international centre, for the moment.Wings :
Mark Telea : is he considered as being a member of the current squad ? Can break tackles and be brillant. Tends to blunder badly as well.
Lam : big, strong and fast. Very dangerous with ball in hand. Defense ? Reliability under the high ball ?Full back :
Zarn Sullivan. This man can kick from hand and he can run too. Brillant future IMO.I forgot Shaun Stevenson in my list. He was the best Maori player in the 2nd game vs Ireland. He can beat opponents with great ease, has genuine speed and a big boot. He is also safe under the high balls. He could be a bolter !

Well, it's obviously Foster's fault isn't it? The idiot probably trusted his highly-paid professional rugby players to think for themselves and take some responsibility for getting themselves into the right frame of mind for a game.
I suspect if he left them alone they would be able to do that. After all, they can do it for Super games. And many have done it previously for tests.
I suspect that Foster actively interferes with their ability to get ready properly for games. It fits what has happened, both for the Chiefs and ABs.
I'm still waiting for another reason how we suddenly have become so lack-lustre mentally, and expecially at the start of games.
It's not the players. They are fine with other coaches.

I would have hoped that the public and journos were smart enough to work out that the reviews and changes that they themselves were demanding take time and they were happening. Did they want things all done and dusted on Tuesday in a mad rush? That would just give them something else to whinge about. Likewise a further statement that 'we are working through the review and outcomes and will let you all know when we have something to announce' only fires up even more accusations of 'tell us now! You know something that you aren't telling us!'
The world doesn't end if we find out a day or two later. -

But the board meeting being cancelled and the post-game interviews being cancelled are different. They should have taken place, and the reason being "we don't wanna" is just ludicrous.

Q: how do you know they're having a review?
Q: Why was the presser on Sunday cancelled? Because Foster didn't know when asked; it was a goddamn linkedin post that read like satire.
Q: Why was the team naming pushed back?
Statements set out timetables and processes is what you need. If you aren't throwing out Foster, put someone else up to talk FFS. Or put out something; anything. NZR are being kicked for the nature of their response (absence) not what they're doing behind closed doors.
And let's not start on the seeded stories/leaking going on from Rugby HQ either. I'm disappointed, I'm not suprised.

The world doesn't end if we find out a day or two later.I totally disagree with that. There's no way an update message would fuel more speculation than no update at all. The whole point of PR is that it helps you control the narrative. Saying "journos and the public should be smart enough to figure it out" isn't a PR strategy.

If there are changes to be made that need to be explained to and ratified by the board (possibly even for DFA reasons) then it's pretty obvious that a board meeting scheduled way before the shit hit the fan would be rescheduled to deal with it.

Some of what is being posted lacks all sorts of sanity and realism and reads like every move NZR makes needs to be explained to the internet, just because we say so. -

I don't know why anyone would give the All Blacks comms the benefit of the doubt? One re-read of that LinkedIn post should be sufficient.

@Crucial I respect your views. In this litigious world there are due processes that must be followed and completed. If there are some tough calls being made then they should be made in a way that is fair to all parties with no evidence of a predetermined outcome. It wasn't long ago that Glenn Moore got hung out to dry by media and I was very concerned how that all unfolded. I respect Jo Malcolm bringing in the balance of the human side after that.
The public needs to know the actions taken. But it seemed to me like there was demand for instant actions while that would be disastrous if proper process was not followed.
I expect we will all be better informed later today. ... except for the source of the leak in the camp. -

True but we could scrum test 1. We just didn't expect the Irish to have a coach who could respond in test 2 and 3 and we didn't have a plan B and C.
