Foster, Robertson etc

Some fuel for the rumor fire. I read yesterday from a commenter on 'The Roar' site who claimed to have a contact high up in Rugby Australia who told him that Rennie is going to the Blues and Rangi to the All Blacks.

@Machpants I wonder if Eddie Jone's appointment may have speed this along. Whoever takes over next year is going to have to oversee a major rebuild as there are so many players leaving. Razor sounds like he is in the boxseat. Wonder who is in contention for the assistants roles.
I read somewhere that Robertson is keen to have Holland included as one of his assistants, so if he gets the role that is great news for Hurricanes fans.
Then you can replace him with the other Jason - former Manawatu head coach probably their best ever, now coaching Suntory with incredible success.
With someone like T Ellison as his assistant.

@gt12 I think it's a fair comment that he's been patient. He's hung around 4 more years in NZ after being passed over for Foster.
He made himself unavailable for any other position other than head coach.
He better be fucking good because he comes across as a bit of a tool to me.
Given he went head to head with Foster I don't blame him.
A Hart-Wylie part 2 situation was not going to work.

I thought Rennie was going to replace Wayne Smith as the Director of Rugby at Kobelco? Better money I'm sure.

Is anyone else a little concerned with Razor’s comments?

Now that would be outstanding. I rate Rennie as a coach although he had been linked with Kobelco in Japan.

@TheMojoman in what way?

@TheMojoman in what way?
Yeah I am wondering in what way too. Sounds to me like a job applicant knows whether he has been successful or not and is waiting for the result to be announced so he can talk about it. Happens all the time in my 'industry'.

Coach, Wayne Smith is DOC there, so just overseas coaching, and Rennie has been linked with head coaching gig.

So what's going on? Is Razor stirring or just a little niave? If reports are correct seems a bit silly of him saying things as yet.
Thats Just Razor if he has the Job he will be pumped, he also is a real honest Dude so probably is just being truthful,He is not one to play games with the media maybe it is Niave but he is being true to himself.
-
@Dan54 i think hes being a bit cheeky...but he hasn;t gone off and just posted somethign out of the blue on his socials, a reporter has gone down there and asked questions, he could has said "no comment" but thats not the vibe in NZ rugby generally...he could have lied and said he didn;t know...but then looked stupid in a couple of weeks time when we all think "he must have known"....or he can say "I know but its not for me to announce'....

@Dan54. Think he is just waiting on approval to go to RWC with Fiji. All above board and positive. Anything else would seem plain dumb.
Ah so for Fiji for this RWC, international experience TICK> then he can go to the ABs 2024 on

Newshub are saying that Fiji is chasing Robertson hard. Scotland are also interested post-RWC.
Scotland have some generational talent at the moment, he could take them to great heights.

Here's the full quote. Gives quite a different picture:
"It's one of those times, I'm just waiting for the NZRU to make the announcements" Robertson told reporters.
"You have conversations in the background, as an employee, understanding we go through clear processes.""What I'm saying is, hopefully we know in the next few days."
Robertson says he is waiting and hoping to hear what the process is, but the media's implying that he knows what the process is and is expecting to be confirmed in the job. Would be hilarious if he misses the job because he was selectively quoted.
