All Blacks v Ireland - 1st Test

Hah, funny how a try against the run of play can change the whole game. We were well on the back foot and Ireland should have had a penalty before that Reece try and now its game over!
Our big name players BB, Smith and Cane really starting to take control of things out there. Some nice touches from Tupaea with Jordin and Reece also looking good out there.

Ireland go to shit when Sexton is not there and now he failed the hia. Does that mean he's out for next weekend too?
Oh no, are we in for two weeks of Could'o'Doid the sequel?
Marshall saying Cane hit Sexton on the chin without mentioning that Sexton had fallen about a foot and was 6 inches off the ground lol.
There's got to be better commentators out there.
Mils would be fine as a replacement.
I'd prefer KT but would take Mils.
Either would be fine, lean towards the AB for Test colour man.

Can I say Scott Barrett is having a good game?
Yep he has got over the advantage line and pulled off some good tackles.
The 2 main forwards getting over the advantage line has been Scott Barrett and Bower. -

Straightens the attack nicely.
Playing a good locks game

This, that Mortlock moment really turned the game.

I really like that try that came from the Leicester break - is it the Saders that use the third forward then the runner i behind like that? It gives you two - three options and must make the defenders make harder decision than the usual way we use our pods forwards.

Good with ball in hand, headless chook when he's near a ruck without the ball in hand.
Made some good tackles too. Ruck work has been poor.

Helps when your No 8 is Ardie.

Defensively Red has been excellent. Best of the loosies on D which should be the captains bread and butter. But Red been quite inaccurate at the ruck and his throwing the ball along the ground after being tackled has lead to some slow attacking ball.

And one or two turnovers? At least very close anyway. He's making too much ground!

Was Sexton trying to milk it a bit and got to go for an HIA, or was the contact harder than it appeared?

Can anyone see a new plan, immediately too into it too analyse
Seems to be "don't make stupid fucking decisions and mistakes"

The quick hands from Tupaea really made it but they never showed a good angle. The replays have been poor in general. Would have also liked to have seen that hit on Furlong from Cane again.

He failed the HIA so clearly a big hit.
