Holy shit SBW
Oosh chur too much cuz!
He's trying to bring his "brand" to commentating.......
Silver spoon treatment given to him relative to his ability as a commentator. -

Huge Tahs effort and they'll take heaps out of it
A stack of injuries. A suspension. A missed opportunity at defeating a wounded Kiwi team.
Heaps.

I haven't watched him closely enough to know if he is any good, but Gamble reminds of one of those scary French forwards. Might be the crazy hair.
Reminds me of Chris Masoe when he had that mop.

I thought that the Chiefs tried to be too expansive at times, so the Gatland intercept was always coming.
Apart from a passive hit-up from the 2nd half kickoff, Poihipi played really well. Happy for Jonah Lowe.
The most disappointing players for me were Ta'avao and PGS. Finau made the impact with the ball that Sowakula should be doing.
The Tahs have the ability to score some good tries so I wasn't surprised how dangerous they were when they had possession.

Good to see improved attack from the Chiefs. Ratima is much improved so Gatland looks better. Tupaea Lowe and Nankivell looked far more threatening than I expected. Loved the work rates of Vaii Cane Lord Jacobson Ross and S T in the forwards. Charlie Gamble Holloway and Gordon were great competitors too. Thought Berry had a good game and allowed flow.

I’ve stopped watching Chiefs games live. The weather is too good and its more fun to chill with my boy. I imagine that many will appreciate not having me lose it during every game 🤣
How fucking good is Lord?
That line out take in the 23rd minute was sweeet.

How much better would the game be if you couldn’t attack the ball if a player is falling from taking a high ball?
That’s essentially the current box kick - attack the ball in the air and then if he catches it wait for the defending player to hit the ground then attack the ball. Cleaners have almost no chance.
Would tactics change if you couldn’t do that?

Yeah sounds good to me - almost the same as when you're held up immediately after catching a kick - if you're tackled, the opposition can't steal the ball at the resulting breakdown (regardless of if it's immediately after catching or not and the immediate bit should be removed from the held up law too).
So essentially, whoever catches, gets a "free run" for one phase.

Lord looks to be the perfect replacement for Whitelock as our aerial lock.
I like what I see, aside from the haircut

I'm sure that's the rage in Owhango.
Remember those mullets from Rieko, Mo'unga, Havili and DMac last year?

Lord and Vaa'i looking really good, Taukei'aho his usual self as well as his lineout throwing vastly improved. Looks like the Chiefs (and ABs?) have a lineout core for the future.
Don"t know why SBW, commentators, and a poster or two talking up the Chiefs 12. Never noticed him. Nankivell was good again though. He needs to do that in the big games.
Tahs vastly improved, they have the artillery to strike from anywhere. How good is their captain?
