Jesus Barrett S just went for it. Insanity. Could have pulled out of that
How did the refs miss these red cards in real time?
Christ, ScoBa should get 8 weeks for that. Filth.
So Nepo should have got 8 weeks, too?
6 weeks for sure. ScoBa had time to pull out. Both insane in the modern game
And waking up early after a lovely bottle of red with the game, height is the key differentiator between him and Laulala. Shoulder to head on someone standing at full height won't look good at the judiciary, particularly with time to pull out.
Laulala was just a stupid thuggish act. Not that different, but lower
Turns out a nice cab sav is truth serum watching a replay. Fun game.

Man, I missed all the fun.
All is right in the world when toys are being the out of pram like that. Pretty upset for a game he couldn’t be bothered to watch.
Not possible in the Cook Islands.
How can anyone be so grumpy when on holiday in raro ? Is it cos the brewery closed ?

Josh Goodhue has a broken thumb.will require an operation..6-8 weeks ..bugger

Unlucky. Still well covered there with Romano, Tucker, Darry and Robinson.
Squad depth is great this year.
-
@steven-harris On the plus side he should be fit come finals time.
-
@steven-harris poor guy cant catch a break, least this one seemed accidental, not like the one a few weeks back v the Highlanders
-
@kirwan it’s the sort of depth we struggled to have in the past ..Unlucky for Josh ,but having James Tucker who I suspect is a similar forward to Goodhue is a blessing..
Going into the Oz leg ,it’s great opportunity to give Darry and maybe Robinson some game time in the middle row -

@sparky sorry I was at work.
Robbed I tells ya!
Also, NO-ONE BEATS THE BLUES AT HOME FOR 18 YEARS IN A ROW AND EXPECTS TO GET AWAY WITH IT
Also, laughing listening to idiot callers on talkback today saying Leon should be All Black coach over Robertson now, due to one. win, as we know the sentiment will be all over the Fern here any second.

You've always been an astute judge of the game. It's a brave call but one I could support. 😉

Just rewatched 3rd quarter. In first ten minutes Blues right on top. Went out to 24-10, and then hot on attack and would have probably had another 5 but for ball slipping out of Perofeta's hands as he was about to deliver decisive pass.
Then big run from Ofa ended in strip around Chch 22.Clearance from Mo'unga earns 50:22, from which maul leads to Reece try. Huge swing.
Good counter ruck from Blues reaches Saders 22, but another excellent RM clearance, couple of favorable interpretations from ref, and a Perofeta miss on Reece and it's 18-24 when it so easily could/should have been 10-29 and game over.
Will watch last quarter and revert...

Blues fans getting a bit carried away. But its not just one win. And if the Blues keep on winning he must be considered.

Talkback and social media is full of morons that know jack shit, no matter what team they support.
The amount of cantab fans on social media saying they'd have won if it was Reece on the end instead of a lock...or well done, you caught a lock...what about Dalton hitting his head...
While I am sure there are blues fans getting ahead of themselves talking shit, there is an equal number of deranged crusader fans full of shit too...
And in other news, it is raining.
-
@taniwharugby if Blues fans can’t get excited after beating the team that has been the yardstick for success in recent times in NZ, when can we?
An away win (used to be impossible against all NZ teams), a hoodoo from 2004, and an often cancelled fixture.
As a sports fan it as good as it gets. How good will the next matchup be?
All this talk about waning interest in this comp, these sorts of rivalries is what gets it back.

3 locks down before the match started and then the Red card. Very weakened at hooker at the moment too.
Bryn Hall was very poor, his aimless & inaccurate kicking cost at least 7 points and the last Blues try scored against 13. That said, Auckland deserved winners on the night. The Crusaders have a significant injury toll and with a Red and Yc still almost grabbed the win. -

The Crusaders have a significant injury toll and with a Red and Yc still almost grabbed the win.I guess that confirms that the Crusader depth isn't what it once was? A few injuries never used to bother them much (like what all teams are currently experiencing, including the Blues - note the rookie halfback on the bench, Heem at 12, no Akira, etc, etc)
As for winning while down to 13, Blues showed how to do that the previous week against the Chiefs.
Not to mention the last Crusaders try was complete bullshit. Taylor got back to his feet while still held, and Reece knocked the ball on. Made the game exciting though in the end.
