@winger They'll probably promote Cory Jane to head coach.
Lol Cory Jane's probably the reason J Savea keeps starting. Old Boys club at its finest.
-
@canes4life Haha, but it fits so well in their appointment policy, doesn't it? Not appointing the best, but just from within. After all, that's how he got that assistant role so quickly after just one season as assistant with the Wellington Lions.
I've said it before, but NZR should have tried to get Ozich a gig at a NZ franchise. Now just hoping that - after his two(?) years at the Force - someone is smart enough to bring him back to NZ. Brings much more to the table than Jane, Bleyendaal, Ellison and some other former players in similar roles in NZ without much coaching experience and results.
-
@arhs If the AB coaches hadn't fucked him around a bit by playing him at first five and wing, we might have seen this move sometime last year.
I'd rather see 12. Jordie; 15 Havili - than vice-versa. Though if it comes off it will doubtless be Jordie and Jordan in those jerseys.

@stargazer You must be happy got a whole two Magpies on the bench 😂
I can only see one. Unless Sullivan has come home and I missed it?
Hey I’ve acknowledged I made a mistake
-
@canes4life You watch J.Savea will get an assistant coaching job with the Lions in the next couple of years.

Jordie at 12 might be the most important selection move for several years.
It would be very handy if he could be outstanding there. He could be like a more skillful SBW.
PUJ may as well ask for a release

Not necessary. His contract expires this year.

@crucial Not exactly a team with a good culture or a winning one ...
Yeah, under Holland the Canes have a winning percentage of just over 50% which is shocking for a club with the talent it has.
Under Boyd and Plumtree I think it was hovering just over 80%, a fall from grace indeed.
-
@canes4life I meant the Highlanders.

Yeah, I was just thinking more that he needs somewhere to showcase himself and they are the best/only option.
He's a damn sight better than Gregory and a partnership with his bro and with CGB behind them could work very well. -

Boyd 76%, Plum 72% according to this

Don't you think there has been a wee change in the mix of opposition......

Would partly account for it. But only part.
