Toala has been good. Was surprised he wasn't in the XV but then the coaches will have their reasons.

I feel like it's actually the opposite. I think the likes of Ardie, Barrett etc need gametime after having the last two weeks off. Going into the Chiefs next weekend after not playing for three weeks would have been a big ask.

Other notable selections: Brayden Iose deserves a start at 8, Peter Umaga-Jensen back where he belongs and Josh Moorby makes his debut on the wing.
Don't know much about Walden & Moorby ?
Painful to see the plodder at 6 & also captain.
Morgan is a good running back, but didn't look comfortable playing at 10 for Wgtn in the NPC, hope he performs better in that position in this match... be interesting to see if Love is properly fit coming off the bench, in our last match he certainly wasn't running freely.

@nzbloke Just as well the opposition is the MPs as you would have been a bit worried if there were any injuries early on amongst your front row players.

We have good depth with our hookers in Aumua, O'Reilly, also Coles should be returning soon... but as always we lack propping depth.

Haven't really noticed him... will keep an eye on the bloke tonight to see how he goes.

@nzbloke I argue that apart from Fidow, our props have performed well this year and have scrummaged admirably. It's hard to say from three games but they've stood up so far. Hopefully we get Owen Franks back soon, who, despite probably not offering too much around the park, he should atleast provide depth when it comes to scrummaging.
I feel like we need to give Tevita Mafileo more gametime aswell, he's always been a sound scrummager and can cover both sides. He's only 23 aswell so hopefully a big future ahead.

@nzbloke I would put him in a similar bracket to someone like Ryan Crotty. Not the biggest of 12s but performs his role very well and makes those around him flourish.
