@Bovidae Every other top test nation is playing a lock at 6, S.Barrett offers everything we need there and is necessary to complete an otherwise incomplete backrow carrying 2 opensides (Cane+Savea) which Foster is welded to.
Actually, I only see England and SA playing a lock at six. Ireland, France, Australia, Scotland, Argentina and Wales aren't.
Potentially Beirne gets selected at 6 when Ireland are at full strength.
Nah. The incumbents are O'Mahoney and Doris.
POM is a talisman but I could see him making way for Beirne at 6 if Henderson and Ryan are fit in the second row. Beirne has played 6 before in this scenario.

Just watched Beaudys highlight reel from the Scotland game.
One of my favourite ever Allblacks. A playstation player circa 2016.
Fuck me , he was dogshit at the weekend.
Yeah sad to see as I have said before another 12 mths is not going to help him at all just make him slower.

He's not slow IMO, or even that much slower than he used to be (if at all). And it's clearly a game tactic for these kicks. Jordie and RM are doing them too.
Agree in the weekend, BB didn't execute them well, but the decision to do them isn't wrong.

I reckon he has lost a bit of speed not top end maybe but over the first 10 metres .
The kicking I hate it whoever does it wasted ball IMO. -

I love the bloke but he doesn't get in the squad for me now. When was the last time he crossed the whitewash. He almost looks disinterested or something. I want to see him spilling claret. Even DC used to have a bit of mongrel. Beaudy comes off the pitch spotless.
Give me Jordie at 12 and Air Jordan at 15. End of story.
Dmac for the bench over Beaudy.
There. I said it.

Whatever the reason, BB is not in any sort of form. Definitely shouldn't be in the starting 15 anyway.

Had him nailed on to beat Howletts record. Can see him leaving after RWC so he has 11 tests left if we get to final. So that goose is cooked. Between Japan/Auckland/Hannah he completely Yoko Ono'd himself.
Hasn't been the same since.

Dmac showed more this year and I thought he was finished.
Dmac looks hungry a la TJP. Beaudy looks like he doesn't want to be there.

Perofeta doesn't seem to be the answer either. I support him being around as a 15/10 understudy but dont think he is the goods to replace JB at 15.
Real pity that Zarn Sullivan is injured and also that he will see little time playing at the Blues behind BB and SP.
If he had been given a chance on this tour I reckon he may have changed the whole picture. Excellent 15 with a huge boot that covers 10. -

Jordie has a canon off the tee but kicks like a rapist out of hand.
Havnt seen enough of Air Jordan because he doesn't need to kick. He just scores tries from anywhere.

Its mental. Havili looks a decent calm bench 15 for me, but he has been thrown in as a test 12.

Although if everyone has different boot colours it does make it easier for the defence to communicate. "I've got green boots" etc. Although probably less of an issue when theoretically everyone should know their opponents names: "I've got Michael Lawes" etc
I can't think of anytime in 35 odd years as a player where I've needed to use boot colour.

Good for you dude. Is that because the beer league you typically play in has mismatched jerseys?

Maybe we will see Ruben Love competing for the 15 jersey next year. He has been outstanding against Ireland A. The AB XV back three (Love - Stevenson - Lam) looked superior to the AB trio (BB - Reece - Clarke) which played against Wales.
