So do you rest the players this game or the one before the Boks, clearly, they all need a rest before so it will be interesting to see how they rotate the players. I think Foxy said in that above audio clip that they don't intend on making wholesale changes.
Rotate in both, so you rest some here and some in the second. Gotta keep the momentum, and after Fosters fuck ups last year, they can't take Arg for granted.
Have you watched them recently?
They just about put away a 3rd string Wales team.
If it's not at least a 20 point margin then NZ should be worried.
Yes I have. I've also seen them get up after no games, covid cases, and a long time in lock down/quarantine to smash the ABs. Teams step up Vs ABs, and is pretty much the same squad. On paper ABs should smash them, but the same was said last year

@machpants well we shouldnt be ambushed like we were last year, we know they always hit the ground running against us, but we typically finish faster, so we need to start better against them.and sort our discipline out.

Agree, we shouldn't, doesn't mean we won't! I'm a long way off trusting post 2016 coaching team. I still haven't seen any real innovation or improvement in our week points. Ruck defence (still awful), physicality (beaten there by Argentina last year and Fiji this- can't judge on Tonga and Oz), defensive structure (poor this last game, scramble was excellent, but that's about players not coaches), etc

In the first tests on both occasions but not beaten on physicality in the second tests (Argie 2 and Fiji 2)

Yup, it's our first test against Argentina coming up. But imo, we shouldn't have lost the first ones physically either

Hah haaaaa! Foster is fat though! Classic.
-
@Machpants @KiwiMurph is “playing physical up front” code for throwing your body into the ruck off your feet, from the side, killing the ball and not getting penalised? Because that’s what I saw from Argentina and Fiji.
No matter how “physical” a side may or may not be, there’s not much a team can do about that cynical stuff.

We should. He didn't get a decent crack last weekend. And went well for the time he was on.
