Good call, that was obviously a pretty sizeable bloke back in the year 1900 but times change. To use a Rugby analogy off the top of my head only Damien McKenzie, Richie Mo’unga and Sevu Reece would be below that, Perenara and B Barrett about the same and the rest considerably bigger ( but still not big enough in some positions )
But then again Rugby numbers are fudged quite a bit, Boxing’s never are.
Reece is 98 kg, he must have used Ardie's kitchen scales..
About 30kg is his head

I find the swimming debate quite funny. The whole problem is that people treat the Olympics like a dick measuring contest. It seems to be all about how many medals you win. Actually, the Olympics should never be about that.
Swimming is a genuinely tough sport to win medals in. It is easy to win multiple medals if you are extremely good but who cares? If we were talking about difficulty of medals, it is still way tougher than rowing or sailing. One olympic medal in one sport has never been the same as a medal in another sport. There are some sports where it is more of an achievement to come 18th than to win gold in rowing.
So we shouldn't worry that Phelps has more golds than other people. The Olympics are not about winning anyway.

I think that you are harping back to a golden past when de Coubertin's vision still had meaning. Ever since the Soviet bloc cheated their way to showing the superiority of communism that ideal was toast (probably before, in all honesty). Making the Olympics open to professionalism has only increased the importance of winning on an individual level.
