TR. You can't say spade.

Strangely, you can absolutely be "discriminated" against for being posh. I'm no expect but as far I'm aware while you can claim for being discriminated on religious grounds, colour and all sort of different backgrounds, but posh doesn't come into it. You would have thought the upper class lawyers of yesteryear would have thought this through, but apparently not. You can call anyone a post twat with absolute impunity. -

I have no problem with religious discrimination. Somebody needs to tell the idiots they are following a book that was someone's "best guess" at science 6 thousand years who and it's no longer relevant, so stop bloody fighting each other over it.

A costly comment in the end. Marler cops a 2 week ban and a £20k fine http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/35967459

Because people now get offended on behalf of others and how easily someone is offended is directly proportional to how stupid they are.

Word to this post brother, those fluffybunnies are a sub species of keyboard warriors looking for some outlet to express their moral outrage and everyone knows how much I fucken hate keyboard warriors....
-

Thought I'd post this on here. A BBC interview with Marler over the whole Gypsy Boy issue. Obviously there is a fair bit of PC in his replies but all in all he comes across quite well IMO. Of particular merit is his response in regard to provocation.

Also I think he's made the right decision to duck out of the Oz tour. Time to get his head together, recharge the batteries and hopefully come back a wiser man next season.

And hopefully a better scrummager!
-
Read about marler's decision on the guardian site. Was he pushed to take a break perhaps?
Also, the paper pitched the exit as being for the friendly vs Wales and, oh, by the way, as an after though also the three test tour of strata. Seemed oddly written to me. I always hold that paper up as being a fine example of the queen's. -
Really looking forward to the Australia vs England series by the way. Should be the most competitive of the june series. Haven't seen much of this Itoje rooster but looking forward to seeing him mix it up. We won't see him til the lions series.

The Queen's English?

The paper is well known as the Grauniad due to the poor grammar and typos!
-

He was a stand out at U20 level and has been brought on well at Saracens. He has done very well for England so far but it is still early days. His potential is huge but so far he has not really been tested by guys that have had the opportunity to work him out. Not trying to downplay the guy but we have had so many next great things for England that I'm reluctant to big him up too much.

England are well blessed at lock with the current incumbents being Kruis and Itoje, keeping Launchbury on the bench. This is Launchbury who, at the start of the 6N was being touted as a future England captain due to him being nailed on for a starting spot. Then there are Lawes, Parling and Eastwood, all of whom are bloody good. Add into the mix A-W Jones, Charteris, the Gray brothers and Toner and Lions selection is going to be interesting.
