Hurricanes 2022

@canes4life NAS from the Melbourne Storm is possibly heading to Japan, surely he would be on the radar by a Kiwi franchise.

I doubt NZ rugby wants to pick up an anti vaxxer.

That would be just so much more trouble than it worth. Anyway he wouldn't be able to play under NZR, NZ Govt, or Aussie laws.

@sbw1 come home buddy!! pls come to the Canes!
He would never be able to displace Reed Prinsep so would only be a bench player at best should he get signed for the Hurricanes.

Wouldn't he be at lock? He likely wouldn't take Blackwell's spot, but could still take Scrafton's/Bird's.

Interesting write-up on new Canes lock Justin Sangster.

Something to get @Stargazer happy Jacob Devery is currently training with the Canes according to an Instagram post.

Right some Christmas cheer for all us Canes fans have it from a good source that Dominic Bird has torn some ligaments and is out for the 2022 season sorry I can’t tell you we’re abouts the ligaments are just that he’s gone….Merry Christmas Canes fans.
That's a shocker - Bird would've really added that much needed grunt to our pack at scrum time... Canes have always had plenty of good loosies, but the tight-five is where you control the game from, that area has always been our Achilles heel.
Reed Prinsep?
A giant amongst alternatively tall people.

Anyway fellas, we slowly getting towards start of season, the best time for us Cane's men/women, we get to dear to hope. Our last few weeks before reality sets in . Anyway interesting to see where otheres think our strengths and weaknesses are this year.
For me I worry obviously about 10-12-13 in backline as at this stage can't think of too many in squad that will dominate in those positions (I live in hope that Umaga-Jensen amy fullfill promise), and will our tighties be real competitive? -

At least give it a shot....

@darren those two would be hard to contain. My only worry is that we don't really have a decent fullback if Jordie moves into the midfield.
I think I'd like us to start the year with Walden in the 12 jersey, PUJ at 13 and Jordie at 15, with Rayasi and Goosen on the wings and Perenara/Love starting in the halves.

This is unlikely to happen as Billy Proctor has acquired the J. Blackwell and R. Prinsep almost undropable status.
