Nasal fracture? Do they think they’re writing for a scientific journal or something? Whatever happened to just your plain “broken nose”?

Get your point about the writing and I'm no doctor, but possibly it is actually bone damage rather than the more usual cartilage displacement.

I don’t think that makes any difference to what you call it.

It will make significant difference to the time it takes to heal. Maybe that is what they were getting at? Who nose I didn't write it.

Hmm. Doesn’t pass the sniff test.

Snot a great way write either way.

    Agree. Completely on the nose.

In addition to George Bridge having his appendix removed:

while regular Captain Scott Barrett is recovering after being medically ruled out of last week’s game against the Brumbies. The Crusaders have opted to give Barrett this week off as well, but he is expected to join the team in Australia next week.

Tom Sanders also won't make the trip to Brisbane later today due to a nasal fracture ...

Did you see it though? I would've tried to come up with a better name for it than "broken nose" too.

It was more like "somebody stood on that ripe banana".

Then nasal fracture must be inadequate as well because it’s the exact same thing. How about smashed nose or destroyed nasal appendage?
Badly broken nose would have done it. Nasal fracture is just a wank way of saying broken nose.

@rancid-schnitzel Ennor was pretty dire last week I thought. Another week is not going to make him suddenly Super rugby "fit".

Why on earth are Daugunu, Uru and Mafi all benched? I guess they are looking for a withering finish

You often see guys who've had a long lay-off be a bit off the pace when they return.

Ennor didn't have a good game and might still be short of a gallop this week, but he'll hopefully be significantly better for the run last week and hopefully be even better next week.

With Bridge and Goodhue both gone, we're a bit short on experienced options - after Mataele, it's Burke, Punivai and Fihaki.

Edit: Oli Jager could do with being better for last week's run, too!

They could always reintroduce him via the wing...

We've got lots of guys who can play wing.

We need to be growing midfielders - including both Ennor and Big Leicester.

Yep and chuck that Leicester dude at centre. He can’t pass yet but he’s a bloody handful.

Well yeah but Ennor is already a proven AB midfielder, right? So chuck LF there 🙂

Josh McKay also is an option

Won't be surprised if the Reds win this. They are tough to beat in Brisbane.

    @akan004

It would bring life to the competition if that happened.

I expect the Reds and Brumbies to get home wins (at least) but probably not today for the reds.
