if we can get to parity only 1 or 2 wickets down soon after lunch, then can look to accelerate to tea, then declare with 15 overs left in the day?
I think these conditions are so tough for batting, that in a normal world we are in the same sort of conditions as being 200 behind.
-
Yay. We got a run.
LB but it adds ine

@booboo sorry mate, got carried away. Written in the tone and invective of 45 year old memories😁
Grab a coffee
Awaiting Jr's return from work.
Still a glass of red left
All of a sudden some action on field..

I am thoroughly enjoying the superb sky coverage unlike most of you other ferners. Great variety of interesting commentators and I can replay and fast forward to my hearts content. Hugely trying batting conditions with Shami moving the ball so much. Can't see us scoring fast enough to set India a tough ask to bat out. But we can still hope.

Watching this - I'm pretty happy India doesn't have a 4th seamer!
Tough times - but, it always gets easier if you can hang in there.
The pitch still looks like it requires disciplined bowling to get a good reward. It may just be a case of hanging in there until there until they lose their length a little bit. CdG went to the cleaners the one poor over he served up.
Steady as she goes until the second new ball IMO - then maybe look at starting to push things a bit more with the harder ball and two hopefully set batsmen.

Batting looks ridiculously difficult out there. As does keeping!
yeah, it speaks to the quality of both sides bowling attacks and also their batters skills that the top guys have faced a lot of deliveries with a low strike rate and yet have still had very few off track deliveries
Further to this, I'm confident that the next two teams on the rung might have a fair bit of trouble in these conditions - the Aussies because they like to get bat on ball and keep a reasonable run rate and England, well they are not a top 5 Batting line up - their bowling attack is what keeps them in the results
