Speaking of the best players, Hamish Bidwell has an opinion:
Well that's a load of shite. Kirifi and Papalii have both had great games at Super level, it's plain wrong to suggest otherwise.
Interesting that the leading fetcher in English rugby, Jack Wills, is 6’ 3”, 17 stone, and packs a punch in D. I suspect that’s what TWM are keen to replicate.
The French captain is quite a big unit too although perhaps a bit more athletic.

and pardon me for drinking non-alcohol malt as not used to brain cells rubbing together
If such a thing actually exists, it should be banned as an affront to human dignity forthwith.

6'6" and 17 stone. 'Quite' big! France will be VERY dangerous for 2023 at home.

Nah, it's used to make beer! And mum used to make us have some as kids, for whatever reason

Either play ALB at 12 JG at 13 or think again. Midfield should be a polished, glistening, hardcore rock by now.
Been banging that drum for some time. I don't have a problem which number each player wears as long as ALB and JG can swap around as needed to utilised their strengths. And I can see the logic in trying out different combinations in non-key games and def. like giving Reiko & Laumape game time and experience.
If the TWM decide to experiment a little and change a settled combination that's good as well - just make sure there's a settled combination to start with.

100%.
What's the chance we run into them in the knockouts? We've played more than any other pair of teams - 7 times in 9 touranments, which is remarkable!

My Gran just gave me the beer as a kid. Always loved my Gran.
Going to be interesting to see how how Hoskins goes if it is a tight test, especially in the wet. Just might be a bit different to where has shone in super rugby. Reckon he'll be O.K though.

Shocking state of affairs!

I'm not liking this new regime at all.
They don't understand numbers. Hand out random jerseys to any old player, don't understand time. Probably do a Cheika and name 24 players next.

That would be the icing on the cake.

Thank God for that. I thought @nostrildamus was referring to some non-alcoholic abomination pretending to taste like single malt whisky.
(Fond memories of malt syrup - my dad used to let me lick the spoon when he made his carboys of beer.)
-
The word is
DHP 15, Petaia 13, Alaalatoa starting/Tupou bench, Simone 12.
Their team named at 4.30pm nz time.
-
Tupou becomes ineffective once he runs out of gas. At least he loses his selling point.
Not surprised to see him shifted to bench as an impact player. The last two tests he has been started to provide impact at the start then subbed.
The risk is that he has to come on for an injury early on. -
@Crucial or that he bangs off another midfield kick gifting the opposition territory.
Raining here since before dawn all day. Thunderstorms tomorrow. Saturday looking like afternoon thunderstorm then clear for kick off.
Sunset is officially 7:23PM on Saturday, so really it's a twilight game. Weird, TBH.

The guy has a big upside though. Just need to work out how to use it well.
Absolute beast with a few metres of steam up. Really sucks in defenders
