Loving people still banging on about SA and England, doesn't look stupid at all because they're extremely relevant right now. They are clearly leading the world at amazing rugby.
It’s hilarious. Some talk as if we are playing them next weekend.
An in form England and SA are a sight to behold at the moment and absolutely unstoppable, didn't you know? And how about the tackling technique on their forwards! They just don't miss, the evidence is clear.

Really enjoyable game of footy. Oz were right in it but, I thought, started chasing the game too early which played into our hands. 20 point margin unfair on them.
Still loads of work ons for AB's but some positives from the debutants. Stepped up the intensity, got into the face of the Aussies and most importantly weren't listless round the ruck fringes as we were in Game 1.
Beer tastes much better after an AB victory.
Still not totally convinced we are on the right track but definite step up from Game 1
Dogmeat put it better than I could.
Randoms:
Haka's getting a bit long innit?Did Caleb Clarke break any laws by just ignoring a tackle in his great break?
I don't fucking care Ardie, you always pass in that situation.
Something inside glowed when our skipper gave zero fucks to a righteous world and grabbed Tupou around the neck. They'll never tell you this but that is some special leadership that all the team notices. That's the bloke you go over the trenches for
Coles gets a prize for needling just nicely, but I'm such a hypocrite...if Kearns had have done the exact same thing...
ALBs tackling was grouse
Admit a few Jonah half thoughts when our boy Caleb got involved
Well played Patty T
Jordie's ball put down for his try was like the goody good in class after Reiko got sent to the headmaster
Nice to have it in the bag for 10-15 mins at the end.
Great crowd
Cane's ball running try made me think of when he first started
Yards made close to the ruck - more of that please.
Fair dues lads, you knew you were too textbook in the first, and brought back some mongrel and physicality. Well done

I’ve watched it a few times and it’s pretty close aye.
-
@Siam yeah Clarke definitely got away with one there, White still had hold of him. Probably one of the clearest examples all year. Made a bit more on the nose by the hooker having his try disallowed.
The Savea try looked millimetres from having the ball pop out when he got hit too. Hopefully won't do it again and didn't need to drop the ball to learn that lesson...
Cane giving Tupou the big "fuck off to over there" was surprising and glorious. If Hooper so much as looks at Ofa in an odd way I will fucken scream though.

I reckon it's clear eh. White had hold of him, Clarke gets back up and actually rips his leg out of White's grasp as he takes off again.

Just back from the game.
Ok, thats bullshit.
Just back from watching the game on sky.
Ok, still bullshit.
Just back from watching the highlights on youtube. Clarke seems worth the hype, although it must be worth remembering that is the first time any of the Aussies have played him - they'll not make the same mistakes again. Haven't read off the thread, but was much said about the Aaron Smith try? He deserves so much credit for it, in my view, not just the try, but the lead-in. The pass from the base to Goodhue was an absolute peach. Perfect distance in front him so that Goodhue had to fully accelerate to get it. How many times over the years do you see those passes to the static man, or just in front so the guy has to slow to get it. If you watch it again, it looks like it's too far in front of Goodhue, but its not. It's absolutely perfect.
That was my highlight of the day. I mean match. I mean highlights.

@Bones comparing a side who ordinarily expect to be the best in the world with last years RWC finalists seems pretty rational to me.
It's an excellent point. I'm sure we'd be time travelling back to last year to play them, don't know why I thought otherwise. I'm very irrational I guess.

@MajorRage that's not quite true. Clarke has played Tahs twice and Brumbies and Reds once each
Oh shit, you are correct. I keep forgetting there was super rugby this year before the Aotearoa version!
Was he potential superstar back then as well?

@Bones righto buddy
Nah go on then, you be rational and show me all this amazing rugby SA and England are playing. I'm sure Clarke will struggle to do any damage against such fantastic teams, especially if we time travel. He hasn't done as much international travel as the seasoned vets so the jet lag will really hit him.

His games against Aussie teams were actually in 2018 and 2019 and whilst he was good he has gone to a whole other level this year - so I think your point is a good one and i'm just being pedantic.

While we're on the topic of ludicrous....can we stop appointing Clarke as the next superstar midfielder? He's had one and a bit tests on the wing.
You can't blame the fans. They're just getting on the Reiko ( did I spell that right ? ) bandwagon nice and early.
