Think we missed Karpick at openside hope he back soon

Connor Garden Bachop won’t see any further game time this year sustaining what looks like a broken arm in the Lions Insta story.

@cgrant a one two punch of Aumua and Thompson for the Canes in the future will be pretty handy.
I hope the Canes can keep Thompson. They have three already but one is now a bit injury prone. And one a bit limited but still a good backup

As a bit of comfort for Bay fans, the team that started the final last season had Wardlaw, Ainley, Franklin, Karpik, Matenga at 4-8 in the pack with Ross a starting prop, none of them played last night. Blake and Eklund are missing, Ravouvou, Narawa & Judd missing from the backline from last season and Black absent last night. This is a much changed team and they don't seem to have much fluency.

Fuatai gets what he deserves
Ironically we know more about his availability through illegal play this than anything that comes from the Steamers camp on ongoing injuries an availability in general.

@Darren He was hardly satisfied with the consequences...
true, not many had the appetite for that spicy behaviour

“ Kefu noted that another player was also involved in the tackle and that Fuatai’s participation was only moderate”
Only just watching a replay of the game now.
How the hell did Tiatia escape a citing for his role in the lifting tackle? Especially given the above quote.
Both should have got red.
