Enough for a quick google to tell me he did it twice in one game for the Saders last year:
And twice in one game against Argentina for the ABs:
I think it is fair to say that he does it a bit more often than DC and it is fair to say that it’s because he’s trying for the extra ground (he says so himself in one source I read).

No it's not. When you're DC and killing it on the field, then people are going to shrug their shoulders and think "worth it".
When you're Mounga and have just chip kicked to the opposition, got caught behind the advantage line and turned it over, then you kick the fucking ball dead on a penalty which might have been able to finally allow your team to start gaining some momentum.... people are going to be spending a few minutes wrangling their remote out of the TV screen.
So how many times has it actually happened?

So if you had a 1st 5 that kicked the ball dead on every penalty you wouldn't care? Righto!
Good point though, soooo many people writing off Mounga only because he kicked the ball dead a couple of times.

People seem to forget that Dan Carter would kick penalties dead on a fairly regular basis. Usually followed by the commentators saying “well he is human after all” like they would when he missed a goal kick.
IIRC he was a pretty decent test 10.He was also prone to having clearing kicks charged down, particularly early in games. Jeepers that's two imperfections. Luckily he grows a quality spud.

How do we rate Jäger now that alaakatoa is moving on? Can’t say I’m that impressed so far but he now has a big chance.

@billy-tell He's been very unlucky with injuries, which have stalled his career big time.
I do rate Jason Ryan highly; and Ryan rates Jager highly. But I think he'll be a stop-gap until Newell is ready to take over the starting spot.
By the way, Jager is of Dutch descent (not German) on his father's side, so no "ä" but "a".

Still no confirmation on how long Moody is gone for:

@taniwharugby I assume Peter Umaga-Jensen will come into the All Blacks to replace him. Ironically he's the guy Goodhue tried to tackle when he got injured.

@stargazer PUJ gets in before Ennor IMO, especially considering he covers 12 and 13. Unless they decide to pick Havili as a 12 then I wouldn't disgaree as he's been in top form and deserves another chance in the Black jersey.

I would like to see some fresh players injected into the 23 for this week v Chiefs.
Blackadder back,maybe start Saunders at 8,Grace of the bench,
Dunshea getting a start and Strange on the bench rest Whitelock or Barrett.
Start Enari fresh legs at HB.
Plus Tungafasi will probably take the bench spot with Moodey out. -
