@Gunner maybe, didn't watch enough chiefs games to really comment, Mitch Hunt did a very good job there later in the season, a bit of competition would be good...might mean less chance of collins playing 15 which is good

has had a few injury issues, but when he is on form, he was bloody good, was being talked as a possible bolter.

If he gets a sustained run at FB, hopefully he regains that form.

    Fuck!

I suspected that was going to happen, but I'm still pissed off. I personally think he's making a mistake as his best chance of higher honors are as a strike winger with excellent high ball skills.

The Chiefs would have probably been better off this year offering the competition for 15 to Alaimalo and Stevenson and putting McKenzie back at 10.

@Yeetyaah I'd say that is highly probable, he has a great relationship with Dale McLeod thier coach, allegedly when Northland didnt re-sign him as coach, Solomon didnt re-sign either...plus his brother is there.

@taniwharugby I know, I'd assume the only reason he's moving is to be near his brother so that would possibly mean his brother could play for the Landers. He looks super ready.

Highlanders continue off-season signing spree by luring Chiefs speedster to Dunedin

Highlanders continue off-season signing spree by luring Chiefs speedster to Dunedin

The Highlanders have continued their off-season signing spree by acquiring the services of Chiefs flyer Solomon Alaimalo.

Signing a three-year contract extension with the Chiefs in 2018, the Waikato representative was thought to have been signed with the Hamilton side until 2021, but will instead ply his trade down at Forsyth Barr Stadium for the next three years

    Got out early it seems

Hope the Chiefs can pick up Josh McKay in exchange. Alaimalo has not come on as much as hoped, and McKay still has upside.

With how amazing Trask has been for BOP at fullback, maybe the Chiefs think about swapping DMac and Trask around next season.

Awesome! If we can get Vaahakolo too, the back 3 is looking bloody sharp.

Would be good to keep McKay after the progress he made, but not all that fussed. Maybe he could try turning himself into a back up 10? He's better than NMS anyway.
