No Magpies in the starting lineup, I'm cheering for the oppo, ah crap, they're playing the Crusaders ... well I'll have to grit my teeth and cheer for the Canes now. 😉

    Coles is a big loss.

dont you feed to the Laders? ;o) no smith again, how did Garden-Bachop go last week?

I thought he had a good game. Maybe his best for the Canes so far

    Crusaders:
15 Will Jordan, 14 Sevu Reece, 13 Fetuli Paea, 12 Jack Goodhue, 11 George Bridge, 10 Richie Mo’unga, 9 Bryn Hall, 8 Whetukamokamo Douglas, 7 Tom Christie, 6 Tom Sanders, 5 Mitchell Dunshea, 4 Samuel Whitelock, 3 Mitchael Alaalatoa, 2 Codie Taylor (captain), 1 Joe Moody.

Reserves: 16 Andrew Makalio, 17 George Bower, 18 Oliver Jager, 19 Quinten Strange, 20 Sione Havili, 21 Mitchell Drummond, 22 Brett Cameron, 23 Leicester Fainga’anuku.

    .

Crusaders Head Coach Scott Robertson has named his team to play the Hurricanes in Christchurch on Saturday night, and there are just two injury-enforced changes from the starting side that defeated the Blues in round five. GettyImages 1255532246

Vice-Captain David Havili has been ruled out for the season after fracturing the base of his right thumb against the Blues, meaning the competition's leading try scorer, Will Jordan, will start at fullback.

Jack Goodhue joins Whetukamokamo Douglas as Vice-Captain in Havili's absence, and is set to partner with Fetuli Paea in the midfield this week, after centre Braydon Ennor was ruled out with a toe injury. Brett Cameron and Leicester Fainga'anuku have both joined the playing 23 this week, and will provide cover on the bench.

Seriously is there no one else left who can play 12 at the saders? What a waste.

Best option to give Paea a start I think he is going to surprise a few critics ,he hits hard in defence and runs with power. .

James Blackwell! How in the hell does he get selected to start in a NZ Super rugby team week in, week out?

He is like the guy at the cricket club who is at every training, turns up 1/2 hr early for games, gets a new set of pads every season and is constantly talking about working hard on his improvement goals. But when it comes to it, he averages 4 batting at 11, never gets a bowl and has the arm of a 10 year old girl. God help you if a catch goes up in the air in his direction. Captain of the mediocre XV.

Paea was very good for the Mako - though mainly off the bench. I think he was a good pick-up.

I'm keen to see how he goes. Not lacking in physicality for this level.

I see he played club rugby in Auckland last week. Is he still a Mako?

@Duluth As far as I know - but, not sure why he's playing in Auckland and not for Waitohi, or at a minimum in ChCh.

    @pukunui
He's more like the teachers pet: diligent but ultimately gets barely above mediocre grades due to his average intelligence. Teacher always bumps up his marks though because he tries so hard.

Canes in hot form after their big win against the Blues. The best 2nd 5 in the universe. The only Barrett playing decent footy. Plus a 9 that plays 10 just as good as he plays 9 😉

Saders always slow starters after a bye.

2020 has been a total fluffybunny of a year.

If the Hurricanes win in Christchurch against the Crusaders, 2020 will still be a f**king bastard but a bastard with a small drop of sweetness.

    Go Canes!!!!!!
